This is my thinking but more times than not ASSUME ends up me looking like an @$$......
Then you read how some people are having issues and others are not.. Makes you question if it's REALLY worth being 2 - 3 days ahead?????
My assumption based on experiences with other systems is that if it doesn't recognize your current version as the version it wants you to have, it will attempt to put the newer version on your device. Does that make sense?
Link on the main page no longer works... HTC pulled the plug it seems?
At the screen with blue type, where you select "apply sdcard:update.zip", at the bottom of the screen I get text, in yellow, that says: E: can't open /cache/recovery/command
Then it errors out and I can't install. Any ideas?
Can someone please email the file to me
I tried to download but got a file forbidden error.
here's a video i just uploaded of my flash problem with froyo:
YouTube - HTC EVO 4G - Froyo update - problem with flash 10.1
Did you have flash 10.1 running on 2.1 prior to updating? I was running flash 10.1, however I deleted it prior to the upgrade. I figured it could potentially cause a problem. I just installed 2.2 with the .3 build and flash is working great. Just a thought..

I just posted NOT to post email addresses. Nobody is going to email you an 85Mb file anyways.
SO, all in all is it worth getting it 3 days early for those of you that already have it?
OR should us newbs just not bother with it and wait 3 days?
P.S. i downloaded the update, just not sure if i want to do it.
