Extended Battery now available

Im getting a consistent day out of my phone with moderate use. I logged 26 hours the last charge(phone was at 30%) just with typical browsing email and flashlight usage. This is all on the original battery. All i do is reboot after charging every time now.

Five hours down to 30% listening to audio book a few twitters, AC browsing, have battery management set to turning off antenna in 15mins. No GPS, no sync, no FB, have Bw, and WB, running every 2 hours.

Wow, that looks pretty awful. I'm not being very conservative with my use, and I'm averaging a bit over 16 hours from 100% to shutdown. The only time I've had a discharge cycle that fast was while in the Dr's waiting room, no WiFi.and very weak cell signal. Is it possible you have a poor battery?

I just installed and charged my extended battery yesterday. Completed the charge and disconnected at 7:09 PM. Still running it down, and calibrating, currently at 60%, after 17 hours, but about 8 hours was during Off-Peak setting. I'll need to run another calibration tomorrow, starting early AM, but so far it looks impressive. Through the night, for almost 10 hours, it stayed at 70%.

Interesting that the VZN box shows the capacity at 1930 mAh, but the battery itself is marked at 1880 1930 mAh. Looks like almost exactly 25% increase from the standard battery at 1500 1540 mAh, so I'm hoping for about a 25% increase in my 16 hours to about 20 with the extended battery.

Regarding cases fitting over the extended battery cover, the VZN Shell/Holster combo does not fit very well. I can force it on, but it doesn't really look secure, especially on the right side. Also the bump from the cover causes access to the camera button to be shifted enough to make it more difficult to operate. I'm afraid that if I drop it, the case will spring off.

I definitely will be making yet another trip to VZN or Best Buy to look for a new case.

I doubt it every battery I have is like that. Dozen phone calls texts twitter browsers downloading all that eats away the battery I usually get 6 hours Outa of it.

Just completed a complete drain on my extended battery from full charge to shutdown in 29:13 hours, compared to 16:15 hours on my regular battery.

I know that's unrealistically high, since it ran through a full night of a low drain, but it gives me some confidence that I will comfortably get a full busy day's use out of it, and plan to recharge each night.

Yesterday when i put my phone on the charger t was at 30%

That was with moderate use from 630am to about 730pm. Wireless and bluetooth were always on and gps was used but mainly for foursquare. Also I have the extended battery. Its perfect.

Extended battery - worth the $$

Hi guys,

Thanks for the great experiences regarding battery life with this extended battery. I picked mine up on Tuesday (had to go to Verizon store) and got corp discount.

After charging from Noon till 2:30pm on Tuesday Aug 24, I managed to kill it on Wednesday at 10:00am. 20 hours on the first run isn't bad -- though 4 hours the phone was in airplane mode. I had heavy usage for 3 hours straight during that time and it still lasted 20 hours. Impressive.

Charged until 2:30pm yesterday on Wed Aug 25th and I have hit a charger since. More moderate and light use (15 txts, gps for 15 mins, rockplayer for 30mins, emails, 5-10 app installs/updates, music for about 2 hours, etc) since my first run and I'm still at 60% (or greater) as of typing this up right now.

Verdict: This battery is a champ. Let's hope it stays that way.

Oh, BTW - the stock battery SUCKED for me. I couldn't get more than 15 hours out of it, even with everything turned off and not using the phone. And I'm running the leaked Froyo build with my DX.

The Body Glove case fits over the extended battery door nicely. I'm talking about the VZW extended 1880/1930 mah.

This battery is still going. It's at 5% now, but I have been unplugged since Wednesday August 25 2010 @ 2:30pm!! FREAKING EPIC.

I am a very satisfied customer, to say the least. As far as I'm concerned, this is what the X should be like right out of the box!

I finally got my extended battery for the X and boy am I happy. Im going on 35:00:36 since Ive charged the battery. Im using auto brightness, streaming Pandora, listening to music and viewing movies. This battery ROCKS. This is the battery that should have been included with the X from the start. If you dont have this battery and your stock droid x battery doesn't last the day get the extended battery asap you wont regret it.

I just bought one today then I returned it because it came with the orignal battery door not the extended one. Its a tight fit with the original batt door. I noticed the screen has the watery look like the lcd is broken when i would touch it.

How is the extra bump in the back? I've seen pictures, but from people actually using it, do you notice it? Does it get in the way? Will it fit into the Verizon leather holster without issue?

I got mine two days ago. At first I didn't like the edge at the bottom of the door...that's the only place you even really feel an edge. That took my hands all of maybe 2-3 hours to get used to. The weight difference (5g) is negligable. And on my first charge it took me 1 day and 7 hours with reasonably high usage to get to 10%. Well worth it IMO.
