Too funny. Everyone is expecting some epic news today at 11 that Verizon is getting the iPhone, but really they are announcing something more fascinating!!!! Wait for it.....wait for it.......

Verizon Spokesperson: "Good morning everyone and welcome, be prepared to be mesmerized..... That is right today are happy announce that we are unveiling a maintenance release for the Samsung Fascinate sometime in q4 2011. We are currently testing the update and it should fix the GPS issue.

Nothing to be pulled. Called, and the representative said that you can't pull this update, and just have to wait for your number to be selected and to have it pushed to you.

As for FroYo, I had to ask, and his conservative guess is Spring. So, it sounds like maybe this Summer.

2012 At the earliest. By then everyone will be thoroughly pissed off at both Verizon and Samsung that even the WinMo's start looking good because Micrsoft still gives a damn about customer retention, which is kinda funny seeing as they hold the majority of the US PC market.

MR2 Update Pushing Tomorrow 1/12/11

Just got off phone with VZW for a billing issue. Asked them about the update. The rep said it was in their resource center that the update will begin pushing tomorrow on the 12th.

yea seems to be the same I got from VZW, some people have the software now to make sure it takes and nothing bad happens. I was told also you cant request this DL it is given to you when they want to and it is from google not vzw lol. I love how everyone gets a different answer when they call.

Does this update help with Exchange issues as well? I thought I read somewhere that the next update would help with Exchange issue...maybe it was for Froyo?
