Firmware not updating on samsung note9

[Android Central Question]

I got a software update for sep which I've been trying to update. After downloading, it fails to install. It says system update error, failed to download firmware and I should visit Samsung center. Please any idea what I can do ?

Its sprint. The model is sm n960U

No I have not. I started using it 3months ago...

Try clearing cache in recovery. And then try update again

Restart the phone before it starts press volume up and power button same time then in recovery choose clear cache

I tried to. It says press down volume button to restart , press up volume button to continue which can harm the phone os or apps. I'm a little confused. Will really need your help
