So since last update about a week or so ago, my Fitbit Ionic stopped getting text notifications. This despite all troubleshooting., including resetting the watch, deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

Support forums in Fitbit confirm other Note 10+ users having this issue. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/And...on-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-10/m-p/4019702#M124860

I took to Twitter to ask for help from @FitbitSupport and this is the response.

Drops≠Never tested/supported. Also that sounds like a canned response for 'we didn't test on this specifically, so don't blame us'. Sucks for Note users, but yeah... not the same.

This is why I gave up on Fitbit watches 2 years ago. I got an Android watch and wear the flex 2 on the other wrist. It's small enough to look like a regular wrist band.

Thats the same response I got a few years ago with another phone. It is a canned response.Getting anymore of a answer from fitbit is a task.Good Luck.
I used to have the flex then moved onto the flex 2 . I dont use either now.for other reasons

This seems like a canned response that just doesn't make any sense.

Well it's rather useless now to me since texts are the main reason I wear them on a daily basis

Google bought fitbit a while back so my guess is that in the future there will be greater compatibility

From my own experience, Fitbit is a sad company with sad products. I used to have their products...it was a waste. May have been high tech several years ago, alas, no longer.

My first Fitbit was the Heart Rate monitor version several years ago that cost around $150 to $200. It was a simple small rectangular LCD screen and a black band. After several months of normal usage, the band literally starting coming apart from the LCD screen. Then it stopped working completely, a waste of money. Truly the worst build quality of any piece of electronics I had ever seen in a long time, and I've seen a lot of stuff. My wife has the Fitbit Versa for past couple years. The Versa is a very simplistic device that essentially tells the time, nothing else noteworthy or special about it. When the wife noticed my new Samsung Galaxy 42mm smartphone, she was blown away by it. To call the Fitbit Versa a "smart" watch is quite a bit of a stretch in my opinion. I would say it's on par with a Timex or Casio, but way overpriced for what it offers in terms of features.
