ok heres a newbie question. Im so confused with all the versions of cwm and rom manager. So my question is: i have noticed theres an update for the program rom manager through the market. If i update it, will it mess up my cwm. Currently i have the new 3/30 fix and everything is working fine.

I do it the other way and it works for me, pull batt, hold down Vol down, plug in phone, start odin. If it isn't working reboot your PC, try a different USB port. Sometimes that helps

ROM Manager doesn't work well with the Fasc, it's not recommended that you use it for flashing most anything. And if everything works well with the new CWM why break something if it isn't broken?

Well, I'm wondering if this will work because when I couldn't get out of blue cwm (continuously rebooted into blue cwm) I went into download mode and reflashed the eb01 tar file. That failed (boo, my first red fail flag) then I tried flashing the recovery cwm file and that's when it froze.
but it just unfroze and failed.

so should I just try again?

yea we cant give up.. take your battery out.... as you plug the usb cable in have your fingers holding the down volumn button..it should flash in the yellow triangle.. dont worry with that blue CWM..it waste yer time.. thenafter you load the system SCHI500 first and then let it setup.. when ask ....reboot,,,,
yer system should come up then Odin in the EB01
DB or just EB01 ????? and let it finish it takes some time at times is why i am still watching my honey comb fklash off n on..but i went the voodoo route

I actually had an issue with ODIN not seeing a friend's Fasc last night, ended up doing everything through ADB... so... there are ways to fix it, let's work through the easy options first =)

I spent hours with this thing and caught 2 hours sleep and started again,,, all that time wasted because i didnt know when to install the SCHI500 system tar file with ODIN,, DroidX has a NIce workup on the subject better than my amswers i am sure..

Now that i think about it i really dont use it for anything. Somehow i thought Rom manager was connected with cwm and you needed them both in order to flash. When i flash anything i just hold down power button and boot up from recovery. So rom manager is not needed in order to boot up from recovery and flash?

It's uploading the eb01 tar file.
Just passed.
Now, I'm unplugged, but haven't put the battery in yet.
don't know about the system file you keep referring to.
should I go ahead and see if the phone boots up w/o going into blue??

Up to 15 minutes, if it doesn't boot, pull the battery and try to boot it again.

Odin success yes. Booting into blue cwm and rebooting into blue cwm.

Never done this. Where is that file?

So yesterday I flashed the fixed sc 2.92 and the fixed cwm from the OP of this thread. great.
Then read that I didn't flash the pit file and check repartition and I should redo that, which I did and now after doing that, I'm stuck.
Odin sees my phone, successfully passes the eb01 file, then boots only into blue cwm. sigh!
