I have a note2... And if u had one then maybe u can tell me.... Why did u drop the note 2 and not wait for the 3.... My Note3 is on pre order but every time i touch a G2.. I want one!

So what's working for u & what's not on the G2.? what can I expect if i changed my mind and went the G2 route?

My major issue was memory but.. I guess im willing to make some changes if it's worth it..

I also had a note 2. I never really used the stylus and screen size was pushing it in my opinion. I am very happy with the g2

Does G2 have slow motion in the recording options?

Re: Former Note2 owners here..

I had slow motion with the GS4, but the resolution was so poor in slo mo, it was almost worthless.

G2 is just a little smaller, feels great in the hand. Note 2 was always just a hair big. G2 has a great battery comparable to the note.

Screen is better, onscreen buttons are a plus in my book.

I was a huge fan of my note, but I'm really happy with the switch.

I'll chime in.. I went from the note2 to the droid maxx.

I loved my note2. To me it was just about perfect.. The main reason I got rid of it and went to the droid maxx is I did get tired of the size after a while. As far as the phone itself, I had no complaints, however I knew I wanted to go back to a smaller phone. I went with the droid maxx because I would still have a 720 5inch screen, only losing half an inch.. But the size of the was a lot smaller..

Also to be honest I got caught up in the active notification and touch less controls.. Both of which I love for day to day use.

I would recommend the note2 to anyone who doesn't mind the size.. Its an awesome and powerful phone

I didn't need all the features personally, I never used the stylus, and along with touchwiz I was getting annoyed with it and finally the size got old to me. Just time for change...I am very happy with my G2!

I have both. There is no comparison between the Note II and the G2. The Note III will be different. The G2 is much faster, has a much better screen, and easier to carry and use than the Note II. The only reason to choose the Note II over the G2 would be the stylus. As I said, the Note III will be much tougher competition for the G2 and I am anxious to see it. It may be equal or better if they make the screen brighter than the GS4 and make Touchwiz as fast as LG's UI. If Samsung makes those things better, keeps the good signal, battery life and call quality (better than the G2) of the Note II, the only questions between the G2 and Note II will be whether you want a stylus (and the related apps) and are you okay with the size of the Note III.

How would you compare the cameras of the note 2 and the g2? I currently have a note 2 and thinking of switching. The stills of the g2 look good to me but the video quality doesn't seem all that great?

Honestly, I haven't taken any videos or enough photos to really compare. I do not really use my phone for them that much. From what I have see, the G2 takes good photos, but some have mentioned issues with videos. Photos on the Note II were okay. Again, the Note III should be better. It looks like it has the GS4 camera and software. They need to make it snap the photo quicker than the GS4, though.
