Google don't have a flagship, and it's not a Huawei flagship either.
The Nexus device has always been a budget smartphone, with the weird exception of what Motorola came up with last year, and that bombed. And I bet you Google didn't have much say in the hardware that went in to the Motorola Shamu phone.
Don't kid yourself that Google wants the best of the best in hardware for their Nexus devices. They are used as a sales outlet to make profit out of their own platform. They never actually put any heavy marketing in to the product.
If you believe this is ever going to be considered a "Flagship" or premium device, you will be disappointed, every...single...year.
I would love to ask others here, what range do you see the Nexus device? A flagship?
