[FullHDMI] Official FullHDMI discussion

No sound? Have you tried it on different TV's and get the same result? If so, have you tried more than one HDMI cable? It sounds like an issue very isolated to your case and I'm thinking it may be TV incompatibility or a faulty cable.

I just noticed you are running Myn's as well on a 002 HW, so it's probably another reason to get a warranty exchange. I just hate parting with what has been a perfect phone so far.

I have tried to use this twice. Guess my phone just doesn't like it. Tried it on the original kernel that was posted on xda with the drivers installed and tried this apk with Net's more aggressive kernal, running Myn's Warm RLS5 and Warm Z. All I get is reboots when I run it

Do your native HDMI functions work the way they should?

Did you try this on more than one TV? I have an RCA TV that my phone doesn't like to play with and causes it to reboot. It's even worse with the native HDMI functions.

Eh, haven't tried it on a different tv yet. Didn't even think of that. I tried the one on the boat, will try the one at the house and report back. Thank you :D

No tried stock HDMI output of Youtube and a movie; no sound.

It sounds like a problem with your HDMI port and not the app. I would try rebooting the phone, and try the stock HDMI app through YouTube again. If you still get no sound, then I'm almost confident that it's a hardware issue on your particular phone. Which sucks......but Sprint should fix it for $35 if you pay the $7 a month for TEP.

Before you take the phone in, double check to see if there's updated firmware for your TV. There's are a lot of TV compat. issues that are being caused by the TV failing the HDCP check that the phone issues. This can cause reboots, vid but no audio, audio but no vid and so on. Also, try playing a vid you recorded with your phone and see if it works.

Check post #354. He has tried it on 7 different TV's.

Sorry about that. I'm on four different forums, compiling benches, and merging the setup & troubleshooting posts all at the same time. Too many pans in the fire.

lol....yea, man. That's why I thanked you for your work on post #200. Why do your posts keep disappearing, though?

No problem. I know how frustrating it can be to track down info in a thread.

As far as beta v2 has anything been done on the kernel/driver side? The major kernel devs seem to have left the Evo camp for other projects and a flashable patch looks like our only choice at this point.

The new version does not require a special kernel for the main mirroring functionality. A special kernel is needed to achieve higher FPS and audio control though.

Hey everyone, I saw Orrebmas post over on android forums and came over here to give full hdmi a try! Thanks for developing this!

So I am running CM7 nightly #11 with Savaged-Zen CFS 0.1.2 nosbc

I downloaded and installed the apk just fine, but when I open the program I can't get the Fullhdmi service to turn on, when I press the "start fullhdmi" button nothing happens, it still says service not running, cable unplugged. Even though I have the cable plugged in. Any suggestions? MY TV seems to recognize the signal becuase the "no signal" message on the TV goes away, but I get nothing. Thanks

I don't think HDMI out works on CM7.

gotcha! ok thanks alot guys! I'll keep an eye out for release 2 then. In the meantime I'm do a restore of my mikfroyo backup and play around :)

Kernel question - the Net 4.2.2 SBC kernel that was pulled said less havs in the file name, but I see more havs if I look at the phone's software info screen. Anyone else? Worried that I've made a mistake...

- Sent from my HTC Evo.

I pulled the nightly and didn't see it but if you find it PM me, I'd love to look at their implementation.

Its posted at xda... there are versions for cm7 and sense.
not as functional as fullhdmi yet though, doesnt even have sound through hdmi yet.

Mine also says "More" HAVS. I tell ya what though, this kernel is doing outstanding work in it's own right which was surprising to me. Off the hook battery life and phone is smooth as butter. To the FPS question, I'm averaging 54 fps so no drop off there either.

First entry in XDA does tout an alpha HDMwIn app. Don't even begin to know the politics behind all this (don't want to) but I'm here for the long haul.
