G3 user..Who gonna pre-order Iphone 6?

Specs have nothing to do with Apple products. They know how to make their OS run minimalistic. If you've never had an Apple product, you'd be shocked at how well they run and how stable they are with smaller processors and less RAM.

I'm an Android and iOS fan, and I agree completely. They put less RAM in there, but they still run smoother than most Android phones out there with double or triple the RAM. They are buttery smooth and fluid, so I don't care what people say about them being low-specced. It's all about the overall experience. People said the same thing about the Moto X last year, and it ran like a champ. It's all about optimizing the OS to run on that hardware, and Apple has that down. I'm on a Nexus 5 right now, and it's down to the 6 Plus, Note 4, Moto X, and hopefully Nexus X before I make up my mind on my next phone.

Preordered the 6 for my wife at 2AM today. Should be here by Friday. She tried the Moto X for a few months buy wanted to back to an IPhone. Once I see it and play around with it I *may* order a 6+ for myself. I'm really liking the G3 though.

I agree with the poster above me. I briefly had the 5S earlier this year and it was the smoothest phone I have ever used. I just couldn't get used to the smaller screen. That's shouldn't be a problem with the 6+..

I would say this is a matter of opinion. I had an iPhone for years and I wasn't in awe at how well it ran... It didn't run horrible or anything but it also wasn't the best thing in the world.

I owned an iPhone 5s and as much as they praised that camera, I hated it. That camera was terrible and took some blurry and washed out photos (sometimes). And I know how to use the camera settings on cell phones. The os was of course buttery smooth and fast, but that camera killed it for me. I was better of using the camera on the M8.

There must of been something wrong with your 5s, all the ones I had took awesome pics... I do love my g3, I'm debating on if I really want to step back to an iPhone.. The one thing I hated was the smaller screen

I too left the iPhone at first for the Samsung galaxy s3 for that big screen. I had all the iPhones up to 4s. I couldn't take that tiny screen any longer! I was tired of the laggy Samsung's (s3 and s4) and went to the LG g2 which was so fluid! The g3 isn't as fluid as the g2 and I miss that. I love android too much now not sure I want to go backwards? The screen was the reason I left the iPhone so I'm not sure, I need to take a look at it in person and play with it for a bit. I'm pretty sure I'll stay with my g3 though. What I loved about the iPhone was I always got my updates quick, if my phone broke I went into a Apple store and quickly got it replaced with a brand new phone (Apple doesn't give refurbish phones, at least that's what they told me), always very fluid. I'll miss my ir blaster which I use a lot so hmm I think I might stick to my g3 lol. But I don't want to say never going back because I just might someday.

I jumped on the Android bandwagon in 2011 and said when a BIG iPhone arrived I'd switch back BUT now I'm not sure I can actually do it. I think Apple app's are great BUT when I look at what I'd give up switching my LG G3 I'm pretty sure I won't go to the BIG iPhone.

I'm a big fan of Apple's desktop/laptop products (been using them since '84) and want them to succeed since I own stock but I wish they'd AT LEAST allow simple stuff on the iPhone's like screen theme's, ability to place application icon's where you want, etc. Apple is JUST being Stubborn...so Android for me it is!!!

Maybe the Note 4 if I'm in the mood (I switch Android phone's frequently it seems).

I used iPhone up until early last year. Then I decided to get a Galaxy S3. I hated that phone. It turned me away from Android in general. I kept it six months, sold it, and went back to iPhone. Then, in February of this year, I decided to try Nexus 5. I really liked it. Almost a month ago I used my Jump upgrade with T-Mobile and got the G3. It's an awesome phone and I'm very pleased with it. I'd be lying if I said I'm not curious about the iPhone 6 Plus. I'll probably consider it, but when I think about all the customization I've done to my G3, I realize that I wouldn't be happy with the iPhone in the long run. The Nexus 5 made me a big Android fan. I'm impressed with how far Android has come. iOS, on the other hand, seems stagnant at this point.

Not me after finding out that I have to give up my $61 6GB/Unlimited plan and sign up for $80 data share with my family's 6GB.

A few months ago, it would've been just $60 data share, they jacked it up for the iPhone. :(

Not even thinking about it, I'd be giving up way to much for some stuff that i already have. My G3 runs flawless no lag whatsoever I'm impressed with the camera and all. I'm sure the iPhone will be decent but a phone a couple seconds faster doesn't impress me which is all it has over G3.

Yes. For my daughter and my girlfriend. No way for me. I do not miss iOS at all. That 6 plus is physically bigger than a note with a 5.5 inch screen! My G3 works great and neither the Note 4 nor the iPhone will take me away from it. Even if the iPhone gets more and more like Android with every update.

I'd rather break my tibia, fibula and ankle. Then be laid up for 7 weeks out of work and in pain. Oh wait, that actually happened and I would do it again before owning an iPhone.

My LG G3 is a great phone. I did a post on my blog comparing the pros and cons of the G3 vs the iPhone 6 Plus and it's not clear cut. There are pros and cons for both. But the main point is if you have a G3 it is still an excellent phone. So why blow so much money for a product that is different not necessary better, just different.

My plan is to hold on to the G3 and wait for the Note 4 to arrive. Then compare the iPhone Plus with the Note 4 and G3. And then decide what to do.

I almost get the iPhone ..I like how smooth it is..but I miss ability to customize home screen, icon and I think about I have to stay with same icon, same layout if I go to iphone made me stay with my G3..

One more thing that I don't like how Iphone work is iTunes on android if I need to put video, song or movie I just plugin usb and done on Iphone I have to open iTunes and add music or movie to library..too many step...

I keep enjoy my g3 and wait for maybe note4 , new HTC or new nexus....

The iPhone 4S is getting IOS8. That phone came out about three years ago. That means it will be running the latest OS for at least four years.

IMO, that's the main advantage Apple has over Android. For me, I don't keep cell phones that long so that isn't important to me. I looked at the specs between the G3 and the iPhone 6 plus. On paper, the G3 looks like the better device. I personally can't see a good reason to pay more for an iPhone 6 plus.

I'm currently using the Lumia 1520. Got it about a week ago. It's probably the best phone I've ever had but I do miss some apps that aren't available for Windows devices. I'm thinking about making the switch to the G3 but it's tough to let go of the camera on the 1520.

And how incredibly bored you get after using it for a few months

My G3 is definitely brighter than the SG3 I'm coming from. The G3 has wireless charging. I really expected this in the iPhone 6 but it has not happened. The G3 exterior design is unique and just awesome. I've had it for a couple of months now and still love the look. I'm too afraid the iPhone 6 with its rectangular shape and side buttons will start looking like every other cell phone in a few weeks. And to think about going to something with the same screen size but with a bigger bezel? I can imagine the regret I would be feeling. Ouch. The G3 may not hold the record for being the fastest phone in the world but it is certainly quick enough for my needs. I repeat: with me speed is in no way an issue. The curved edge glass of the iPhone 6 may look cool but consider finding a glass screen protector that fits those curved edges if that's even possible. Also consider if you want to keep the display from scratches you will need a case with edges actually higher than the display's edges, hiding away all of that curved edge goodness, making it look like every other cell phone. The prices are just too high for me, starting at $649 for the 16 GB and ending with $849 for the 128GB

I probably won't pre-order but I'll go play with one. iMessages is so much nicer than anything android has to offer. Group chat on android SUCKS. With extensability I'll be able to get a lot of the info I want in the notification center. Tough choice. I do like my G3, a lot.
