Galaxy Alpha AT&T--sim shows signal but mobile gives error of no sim. What could the problem be?

Galaxy Alpha At&t--sim shows signal but mobile gives error of no sim

I got rooted at&t phone, it works with another sim but when i put my sim in it does not acknowledge the sim however the the network bars are full.

Make sure the APN settings are correct. If that's ok, and the problem persists, then perhaps the sim card is bad.
