Galaxy buds gift SOLD OUT

Well, samsung will either give me a new pair or a gift card. Not sure what to do with a new pair. I don't know where I can trade them in at.

Sell the new pair of buds if you get them (which you won't do since they're very much in demand, lol....just being honest!). If you get the gift card, get one of their micro sd cards or a wireless charging pad. You have many options!

What's interesting is they magically dropped the reserved count of buds from 132,000 (as the poster above me noted in the text they posted) to only 40,000 or so (in the current footnote on Samsung.com). That's a pretty drastic change in the number of gifts that they listed as being available - less than half of what they originally claimed.

I'm not sure if 132,000 was originally the number across all vendors, and now 40,000 is just Samsung's own reserve for their own pre-orders, or they are having a major supply issue right now and are cutting their losses ahead of time here. Just wondering whether my Sam's Club pre-order will get ear buds, and whether my wife's will get an eCertificate, or both, or neither? And if we get the eCertificate, noting that it's for "select products" means Samsung could just end up saying you can only use it on charging cords and Samsung cases, and then the promo loses much of the value of being an early adopter...

Now why would you buy something that you've had a bad experience with?!? Makes no sense.....unless you're a glutton for punishment.

Yeah, I honestly think a lot of people are going to be let down. Luckily, I have a great pair of wireless cans that do the job for me. I would like some wireless buds though!

You're completely wrong. I just pre-ordered on Samsung.com and the free buds offer is gone and instead they are giving a $130 e-gift card for future use on samsung.com.

Means all pre orders have took it the offer

I called Samsung customer care. I was told I am pretty sure and then he said no a 100% sure that if you already pre-ordered before we ran out you will still get them. I said oh cause I pre-ordered at Best Buy on the 22nd and he said then you should still get yours. I guess I'll wait and see.

If not I'll use my husbands and get me the duo charger they have a new one where the phone side is fast charge 2.0 but it's a pad I am hoping they make one with a charging stand.

And I doubt we just redeem, send in a copy of our receipt with the date and Samsungs checks if it was placed "before they ran out". Unfortunately I'm sure there's going to be issues for people who didn't go through Samsung.

Well that's what I was wondering. And when I asked if I was to get mine on the 8th he said it depended on how many they got in so they don't just order what was pre-ordered through Samsung I was confused I just assumed everyone pre-ordered and they told Samsung how many they needed guess I was wrong. But I don't care I'll get them later on and just wait and then you can get black instead of white.

I'm not buying them. Samsung will either replace the Iconx with new iconx, like before, or they gave me an option for a gift card.

Samsung usually asks for a copy of your contract showing purchase date.

I believe the gift is from Samsung, not from Best Buy. You just go to Samsung's website and give them all the info they want in order for you to claim your gift. Offer is only for pre-ordered units as well.

The Iconx had reasonable reviews, but it still lost volume within two months. So far that has been a consistent experience with Samsung headphones.

Same happened with mine. I just clean them out and then it works perfectly again. I think it's something to do with the materials they used because they easily get clogged by war wax and lower volume. Every time I clean them, they go back to full volume.

Nope. You go to the shop Samsung app, give them the information they ask for and then they will give you your gift certificate code.

Like I said, meh. People can just wait a few days and get the Galaxy Buds. It works out well for me, actually, since the wife got me Bose Soundsport Free earbuds a couple weeks ago, before the S10 promo was announced. Now I can get one of Samsung's overpriced cases or chargers instead!

Personally, I always liked the idea of the LED wallet cover, except for the wallet part (i.e. I don't want a flap that covers the screen). Looks like they finally made a non-folio case which interacts with the phone via NFC, and displays some info on the back. I think I'll pick up one of those.
