Galaxy buds gift SOLD OUT

If you read the fine print it also says the eCertificate can be used for an "eligible purchase". On Samsung's site it says "towards select products".

How much do you want to bet that any of the buds (white, black, green) are not considered "eligible" or a "select product"?

It would not surprise me one bit.

I would wager that is geared more towards using it on things like other phones or tablets.

In sure no one can answer this but I’m assuming once we download and open it and it’s there on the main page?

So, I wanted to clarify a thing or two; firstly, per Samsung's terms "Gift will be mailed approximately 6–8 weeks after verification of Qualifying Purchase." One would think 6-8 weeks later, they will have more of the promotional product assembled. Also, per same source "Reward eCertificates are valid only at www.Samsung.com or in the App for use toward an eligible purchase, valid through 9/1/19," Seems like we will have time to redeem the certificate, perhaps by no coincidence, just in time for the Note 10. lol.

I cancelled my order with the earbuds to get ceramic instead, so now I get the $130 certificate, which I think is better anyway.

I was debating on that because I would much rather have the black but at this point I don't want to mess with my order. I want the phone as soon as possible, my S7 is about to take a s***.

Yeah the 6-8 week estimate is pretty common for these gifts. Which makes me wonder: if you really want the buds it's still better to get the $130 certificate, because then you can just order the buds from Samsung.com and get them in a few days instead of two months. Offering us a $130 certificate seems like great news even if you were hoping for the buds. Especially if you want the buds, it would seem.

That is if they are in stock.

True. But with the Note 9 when I got the AKG NC60 (which were in stock), there was still a 6-8 week expected delivery. Same with the other gifts I've gotten from Samsung phone purchases. In practice it's more like 3 weeks, but when you order a product off Samsung.com through the normal channels, it's more like 3-4 days. I guess what I'm saying is that even if the Galaxy Buds were in stock, I'd want the $130 gift certificate so I could order the buds through the website rather than getting them as a free gift, because I'd get them sooner. Maybe I'm missing something here though...

Probably gave too many away to all the dorks on YouTube.

Right!? I have even seen Youtubers that have "Apple" specific channels complaining that "they" didn't get a free phone, like some of the other Youtubers(Android,Tech,or neutral vlogger)! First, how arrogant is that? But even those guys got free earbuds. Everyone that went to the event got a pair. The Samsung website says there are only a total of 42,000 buds for the preorder promo available, and after that ,then you'll get a credit for use of merchandise on Samsung's website. The buds usually go out with the phone "if" you ordered from Samsung directly. Others had to apply for them after they receive their phone, through the Samsung Shop app. So,I don't know, because I ordered my white ceramic S10+ on the 2nd day of preordering and my "ship by" date was set at the 15th, but the buds, which were included on my order, said they're on backorder until the end of April. I definitely want them, even if I have to wait awhile for them to become available again. I was already looking for a good pair of bluetooth buds!
