That is not all the article said. The author correctly pointed out that Google and Samsung presented this phone as a phone for the general public. I know that after watching the unveiling I believed this phone was going to be marketed to a wider audience than previous NEXUS devices. If Google does want to market the Galaxy Nexus to the mass market, they are doing a horrible job. If Google's intentions are for the GN to be a dev phone they are doing everything right.
See, I didn't take the unveiling as the phone being more for the general public. I took it as them showing ICS was more user friendly for the public. I still think its mainly being pushed as a dev device. Google doesn't want to get to the point where they are getting involved with kind of pushing their own phone and possible offending other manufacturers, IMO.
