I've had it for a few days, and am not very fond at this point. I definitely don't hate it, but I'm surely not in love. Here are some reasons why. Now, I'll be listing all pre-Lollipop (pLp) differences I've noticed, despite how minor they may be.
There are others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Though, I'll close for now. I guess it's safe to say the grass is certainly not always greener on the other side of the OS update. :-\
Cheers,
Jack
- pLp, I could press and hold the power button from any screen to pull up a Power and volume menu. Now, only the Power menu appears.
- pLp, I had widgets loaded in the lock screen (Weather, Flashlight, Quick Remote, et cetera); only the Camera is an option now.
- pLp, the battery lasted throughout my day with regular use, where it has shut off by 10p tonight, and while it's plugged in, won't charge, just remains on 0%.
- pLp, when viewing images, I could double-tap to zoom in. I thought this simple feature was lost, but realized I just have to tap slower and more deliberately.
- pLp, I had a Home button to press and hold for the recent apps to be displayed; now, there's a circle for Home, and my Menu button is a square that was converted into a recent apps scroll list that I dislike.
- pLp, I had an aforementioned Menu button to use in place of apps that had the 3-dot menu; now, the 3-dot menu is the only option, even if some apps place it in undesirable locations.
There are others I'm sure I'm forgetting. Though, I'll close for now. I guess it's safe to say the grass is certainly not always greener on the other side of the OS update. :-\
