That's awesome!
My main concern is how well is the phone reception. That was the big reason I left the N5. I am reading all the reviews and do far that has been left out. As for the speed of loading apps the phone could not be any laggier than the note 3. I know the phone will receive an update out of the box and is using a differnt runtime. Some developers may not have updated their apps to run smoothly with the new runtime. Your thoughts.
I think the nits was around 250 range while the note 4 was around high 300 or low 400 range? You can definitely tell the difference between the note 4 and nexus 6 should you bring it outside a lot but not enough to change your mind if it isn't a huge deal to see outside

Having had one in hand last night, I can say what I've always known it to be-----a big Moto X. The weight is awkwardly positioned on the Nexus, though. It's top heavy. If you're used to using a Note 4 (which is far easier to hold with it's thinness and textured back), you should be fine with the Nexus 6. It does wobble on a flat surface, but that's fine.
Display isn't bad and it isn't great. I couldn't test it in day light, but I'm guessing it's fine for everything other than that. You can notice a difference if you've got a Note 4, but hardly a deal breaker.
Camera app is slow to launch, slow to focus, slow to process. Shutter speed is quick so you can snap a bunch of pictures quickly, but the slow auto focus is going to make getting a good shot of a moving object such as kids/pets infuriating. HDR+, which is usually the difference between a good shot and a bad one takes a good 4-5 seconds to process. If you've used a Nexus 5, you're used to taking pictures on a Nexus 6. Image quality is no doubt better (not in the same league as the Note 4/iPhone 6+), but you'll be happy with the results regardless.
The encryption thing is overblown. You won't notice this phone being slow unless animations bother you.
Can't help but be "meh" about this phone, though. It's big for no reason and doesn't offer anything different you don't already get on the Nexus 5/Moto X. If Lollipop had software that catered to the big screen and they didn't omit the Moto X stuff, it'd probably be exciting. Others that don't care should love this phone, though.

250 nits?! thats not enuf!
I mean, in pre kitkat days, more than 50% of what you were doing was with a black background, but now that Google has flipped Android on its head and has added soooo much "white", i will bet the lack of brightness is tons more noticeable & its going to be harder for a "pick-i-yune" user (me) to overcome.
Not that Google will "miss my sale", but just the same, i think i'll stick with my Note 4 tyvm - speaking of which, i'm surprised my Note 4 hasn't blown up on me the way i been eyeing the Nexus 6, but she can relax now, "Google, i'm out!:-$

One in Brooklyn Heights. Look and my previous postsWhere in Brooklyn? I live out in Long Island but every store I called didn't have em'
I played with it also. It is not bright enough.I stopped by T-mobile to check out the phone, didn't see it displayed so I asked someone. They went and got it out of the back, I had a real limited time with it, they were cool to let me check it out but for some reason I rushed checking it out. After walking out I was kicking myself for not speeding more time with it. My main objective was to just feel it in the hand and see if the size was to much and it wasn't for me.
2 things I wish I would have done while it was in my hands was turn off auto brightness and turn it all the way up to see how bright it can go and to see if I could use one hand to operate.
I played with it also. It is not bright enough.
I'm thinking of refusing delivery since I cannot cancel.
I have used 4.4 on my Nexus 5 and now running Lollipop on it. I was getting 1-2 bars of signal where I live, now I'm getting at least 3. I think Lolly has improved the software to make reception better. My main concern is how well is the phone reception. That was the big reason I left the N5.
