Google Nexus 6 on Verizon

Would be awesome but it's hard to believe with the lack of leaks. There hasn't been anything other then the word of Verizon reps and that's odd
Link?

I tend to agree. A good friend of mine is a manager at my local store and he usually knows a few days ahead of time what is coming and said releases have always been on Thursdays. He shows nothing in his system (or so he says) and nothing coming that he can see. I told him I was waiting on the N6 and he more or less told me not to hold my breath. I grabbed the 6 plus on Thursday but it's going back and I think I'm going with the Turbo. I was going to give it the full 14 days but I don't think I can.

My local stores have no knowledge, Joe the Insider has not heard anything, and my corporate liaison has not heard jack. Not looking good for it to land this year, which surprises me a little. I want to add a line to my account, but for now I am going to wait this thing out. VZW is frustrating me though.

Just talked to the Verizon people and they said nothing today but deals aren't updated until Monday so there is a small chance it may come Monday. But, I talked to them a couple weeks ago and he told me it won't be available until around Christmas time. Really disappointing on Verizon's part.

Really stupid of them not to release it before Christmas. My Nexus 6 may become a pair of lizard skin booots. I can get the note 4 and walk out of Best Buy with money in my pocket I didn't walk in with. Both phones have their pros and cons. Personally minus the SPen it is wash. Better antennas versus better camera. Then there is the learning of lollipop or dealing with bloatware. Arghhh but I really wanted an on contract Nexus 6

Another poster on reddit said he spoke with a Verizon rep yesterday and he confirmed it was dropping today. We'll see!

They aren't releasing it on a weekend. Usually its tues/thur launches, so if anything maybe this upcoming week.

Verizon doesn't care as long as you have a phone with them. They aren't losing out on anything by you choosing the note over a nexus when its on their network. Buy the sprint version and pop your sim in and there you go. If you don't want to pay full price right away use the BB credit card and get no interest for 12 months and you can make monthly payments. That is what I do since I have unlimited data.

Cellular Network State - Disconnected (Verizon)

I am running fine on my N6 purchased from GPS with a Verizon activated SIM. I was looking around and noticed in Settings, About Phone, Status that it states I am "Disconnected" in the Cellular Network State.

Any ideas what this means?

Either your in a dead zone coverage wise, or you need to reactivate it on Verizon.

Mine says the same when I'm connected to a WiFi source. When I'm not connected to WiFi it says connected.

That's because you aren't connected to a mobile network. You are connected to WiFi, which isn't mobile.

Exactly. That's why the cellular network state says disconnected. I was answering the original question as to why it says that if in fact he was connected to WiFi at the time he noticed it.

My biggest concern, is if they don't ever officially release it, then VoLte may never work with the Nexus 6. Never getting voice and data would really suck....

Thanks folks... Not sure if I ever noticed that before on prior Android phones. Is Cellular Network State a Lollipop thing?

It's not a lollipop thing. My 2013 Moto X on 4.4.4 says the same thing when connected to WiFi.

Right, all those folks who bought one to use on V's network will be Swappaing them out.
