I might need to open a separate thread to ask about "launchers". Let me take a shot: It sounds like an alternative to a skin, but since it doesn't involve rooting the skin and going to stock Android, I assume that the skin is technically still running, so the launcher actually adds more for the device to process, so while it might clean up the look of the OS to your liking, you are still bogging down the hardware with more to process. Is that an accurate interpretation?
