Google Pixel - How is your battery life?

You tell me. Is this battery life good? 3.5 hours of SOT and over 3 hours of call time for work and I'm at 21% left at 7 pm. I'd say that's damn good. Usually I get 5 hours SOT. This battery is awesome. Better than most if not all Android phones I've had.

What's funny about that?

I thought you were kidding. I think 3.5 hours of SOT and 3 plus hours of calls is pretty good when it's been off charger for 16 hours. Without a lot of calls I get 5 plus hours of SOT. Plus, about an hour of gaming today. So, your comment seemed uninformed.

Oh I didn't see the 3 of calls. I meant 3.5 is bad. If that was all.

Battery life in my 5" pixel is awesome. Better then our S7.
I've seen a few mixed reviews/tests of the xl compared to the 5".

My pixel was kept awake yesterday by Allo for 7 hours, basically 90% of the time it had been unplugged from the charger when I noticed. I hadn't made it "un optimized" or anything. I thought we were past this bull crap with android. I am really wondering if I should've gone with iPhone 7 instead. This whole thing of apps being able to keep your phone awake for hours for no reason is so aggravating. I've dealt with it on every android phone I've owned since the nexus one. At least I'm thankful that it wasn't just all under "Android OS" like it usually is. It actually said it under Allo in the stats.

On Thursday I had a Bible study - I forgot to check my battery. SO I get there and I am at 19%. I used Gnotes to write down prayer requests... later when I was looking at my Bible app - I had 11%.... So I checked the phone and it said I had 4 hours of power left.... I happily used my phone some while there for about 1.5 hours.... It did not die...

now at 19% or so, my Samsung would be turning off....

I'm still seeing google services using more battery than the screen quite often. Is there a reason for this? What does your settings look like for google play services? All of the permissions are enabled, and under "advanced" both "Draw over other apps" and "Modify system settings" are set to "yes".

I again lost 7% battery driving into work for 35 minutes not using the screen at all...

I'm wondering if it's either something with maybe having the location feature enabled for the "smart lock" or something with sync issues for something in my google account, "Google fit data" maybe? I don't even know what that is.

Something must be running in the background. That's too high.

Here's what I got today. I even tried turning off sync in my google account for play music and Google Fit Data because I heard sometimes failed syncs can cause high google services battery usage. Hasn't seemed to help

There's no reason google play services and Android OS should be using more battery than the screen

So far my battery life has been comparable to my iphone 6S and Lumia 950. After listening to music or podcasts all day long on bluetooth, I usually have about 50-60% battery left at 5PM after coming off the charger at 7AM.

Someone said it would charge from 0 - 100% in less than an hour? But on mine it taking 1hr40mins (each 1% is 1min)
