Google Pixel - How is your battery life?

Be sure to turn off high accuracy location unless you need the GPS for driving. Just have it on when you need it. Network location usually works fine outside of navigation.

Like a kid with a new toy, I used my Pixel a lot over the first few days. Thought the battery drained too fast. The more I use it, the better the battery life is getting. At first with 4-6 hrs SOT it was lasting maybe 8-10 hours, defined by reaching 15%. Now with the same use it goes for about 12-14 with 4-5 hrs SOT. If i get into the 2-3 hrs SOT which is more typical for me, it goes down to about 35-40% after 12-14 hrs.

Someone said it would charge from 0 - 100% in less than an hour? But on mine it taking 1hr40mins (each 1% is 1min)

How fast to 50%? Still 1%/min? Tests I've read suggest the first 50% is faster than the last 50%.

There's no need to disable high accuracy. I leave it on on mine. Along with wifi, Bluetooth and NFC at all times and I get 5-6 hrs sot. The other day I had 4.5 hrs sot at the end of the day (1 hr was hearthstone) and I had 29% left when I finally called it a day. The battery life is the best I've ever experienced.

Why does it take longer than 1.5hrs to fill charge? Sometimes charging is slow even though I am using Google charger.

The question I have is what is standby battery life like? Not necessarily when in doze when you are sleeping, but what about when you are running errands and the phone sits in your pocket? How much will the phone lose per hour?

I must say I was a little concerned seeing the battery rating but thinking the lower resolution display and much more efficient processor should at least pull even with my old 6P.

After about a month I'm quite happy that it seems to be doing much better than the 6P ever did for my use case.

This is mine. It's weird because I haven't listened to accuradio in two days, yet it's still listed. But I'm happy with the battery life.

I have been using my phone recently on vacation with extremely heavy usage for lots of navigation, transit schedules, browsing, etc. and I was getting ~6 hours SoT per charge (WiFi, GPS, etc. all enabled). I'm still getting the usual ~3 days battery life during more regular usage back home.
