Google selling pixel phones

Has nothing to do what what I was talking about .. you are just rambling on about stuff I never even said.

Also sounds like you don't understand half the tech because half the things you said aren't done that way so sounds like you do a ton of guessing with no actual fact checking.
Woah. Really offensive words being used here. Be kind to each other folks. The moderators are pretty strict about these things here. Oops, I think you are one of them.

It's really heart breaking to see that Googly boys will defend the phone with their lives.

When Google made the first pixel, we applauded it for their new approach towards software and camera tech. When the 2 came out, we applauded it for their attempt to make the hardware better. The 3 added wireless charging and a wide angle front camera, that's all. The rest was software development which was for the whole line and not exclusive to the 3. Of course it wasn't going to sell well. Even Google knew it. They've started playing the wait game. Let the demand creep up and make the people desperate for features before giving it to them. How else will they sell phones in this climate? In the meantime, leave it up to the Googly boys to defend the meh products.

Get real!

When they make good products we all express it the same way when they don't. Call it as it is. Not how you think it is.

The average consumer is voting with his or her wallet. We, here, are not average consumers and neither do our statements represent any of their perspectives. Open up!

Lol offensive words because someone is screaming things that aren't even true at all with how some of the tech works?

Googly boys is being nice? Right :P.

I still stand by what I said -- some of the things he said are happening literally aren't. It's funny you call me a Googly boy assuming I'm defending the Pixel that you think I'm using.. I'm on an iPhone XS Max

Every phone manufacturer been doing the same thing small enhancements each year . I own quite a few of them from different manufacturers and Apple.

Of course they are. You know it.... I know it and it should be obvious to almost anyone including those that need not be mentioned.

Google's earnings suggest they need to tighten up things with YouTube and advertising. Facebook and Amazon applying a lot of pressure in the space. That's more important than if they sell a few million more Pixels.

That said, it seems all manufactures are slowing down. regarding the Pixel brand I think their recent results would suggest this is the wrong time to be introducing a new line of phones. I just don't think the 3a line is the answer, IMO. But even if it is, the timing is off.. should've released them with the 3 last fall.

I think they should concentrate on what they do best with their flagship and keep perfecting it and later think about a budget phone once you got your main line going with more marketing and in carrier stores. They need one breakout year and follow it up successfully might be this year or the next but when that timing arrives they have to jump all over that moment.

Hard Agreed! The next move should've been opening up distribution with T-MO and AT&T. Get wider with your main line of phones, extend footprint. Opening a new line, to me at least, is like starting a mortgage company 6 months before the '08 financial crisis... Just seems so doomed.

I hope Google proves me wrong, tho ...

That so true , I think they can pull it off as they been in business for long enough time and worked with different manufacturer making phones for them . New line I personally think they should of waited.

Isn't it also true that most of the big players' numbers are down? So the next question is: is it an exclusive or is it a trend?
22 I was just seeing that yesterday in a few blogs. Samsung didn't sell the only as many Galaxy s10s as they were expecting to either. And LG is just well they are LG. Their entire smartphone division doesn't look well for the company at this point.I mean we are all right when we say that it's due to industry saturation at this point. Everyone's got a smartphone whether it's an apple or to Google with a Samsung... years ago, when most people did not have a smartphone, Samsung and Google and Apple were selling a ton of smartphones and a quarter. Now, not so much and it's very evident.

Never had a SD card to fail.
And I can take it out and use it on my computer and other things.

At present.
After the Pixel 3XL realeased a 64 gb phone instead of a 128 gb phone.
A 3400 ah battery instead of a 4000 ah battery.
Only 4 GB ram.
When others released 6 gb.

They offered me a yr old phone for a prime price.
A last yrs phone for this yrs prices.

Google sales are down because of this kind of stuff.
Wondering why they are even in the phone business.
The people designing their phones is not paying attention.

At the present time from what I have seen on a pixel 4 specs.
They haven't done much better.
Will I give them the prices they want.
Big chance is No

Waiting to see what the Chinese phone companies offer.
Got a friend in Canada that is looking at Huawei phone.

Oh but you are Skeered they might steal your data.
Who do you think makes most of the phones.

Never had a SD card to fail.

I have

After the Pixel 3XL realeased a 64 gb phone instead of a 128 gb phone.

They had a 128 GB as well

A 3400 ah battery instead of a 4000 ah battery
Only 4 GB ram

The battery size is fine for me , gets me tho my day. I dont have the Pixel 3 but do have the og Pixel and the Pixel 2 XL. No issues with the RAM amount

The people designing their phones is not paying attention.

I pay very close attention to the phones I buy. The Pixel phones have the features I like. I prefer the near stock Android phones. I dont won't a ton of bells and whistles or gestures on my phone

Will I give them the prices they want.
Big chance is No

Thats fine buy what makes you happy. That's what I do .

Waiting to see what the Chinese phone companies offer.
Got a friend in Canada that is looking at Huawei phone

I don't care for those phones

The price on the "A" series is "too Gat damn high"

Honestly, at first, I wasn't planning on buying the pixel phone time I was going to buy the OnePlus 16 because of the price point. Now, because Verizon had a promo deal for $400 off the price of a Pixel 3, I went for it. I've always loved The Pixel phones and straight up Google phones etc etc. now, of course that's not to say that I wouldn't have loved and enjoyed using OnePlus 6t, however I do truly admit though I obsessively love my pixel 3 XL more so than the OnePlus 6t. And yes for me owning a Google phone mean something. I'm not going to lie. But yeah $900 no phone is worth it especially Galaxy phones or iPhones! And I can't believe the new Galaxy S105G is $1200. I mean as my father was taught me, Phones will be getting more expensive as long as people are willing to pay for it... Whether it's $40 a month $50 a month etc etc. That's supply and demand. As long as consumers are willing to spend the money per month or whatever it is, companies continue to create high-end flagship very expensive smartphones. Now, will I wind up spending a lot of money in my future for five your phone? Not for that meantime; I'm waiting just like everyone else is waiting for 5G to be a mainstay reliable stable network just like 4G LTE was many many years ago. what I do truly believe will happen, we'll be that foldable phones and 5G will be a great marriage for the wireless industry and the next several years. Not now but in the next several years yes. 5 g's limitless and folding phones open up that capability and bandwidth. But it's nowhere near that yet.

....... I'm waiting just like everyone else is waiting for 5G to be a mainstay reliable stable network just like 4G LTE was many many years ago......

It will be a looong time before 5G to be in my home area . If ever it is. I do live close to a large city compared to other cities in my state but not that large of a city nationally. So for me 5G phones isn't going to be a priority . Ha

I agree. How many people outside of a phone forum really know about the Pixel? Out of 100, probably 12, maybe 20? That's not really a big mindset. If people knew about the phone and still didn't buy it, that's one thing. With the Pixel 1, I think something that really hurt was saying 'Only at Verizon'. That exclusivity deal should have stopped after the first year.

I have said it before and I will say it again, if it was not for the amazing pixel camera and free Google photo full quality storage, I would have left a long time ago. Many other more appealing options out there. So, in 2019, pixel 4 needs to go beyond just the camera.

Never had a SD card to fail.

I can't wait for SD cards to become obsolete.

A 3400 ah battery instead of a 4000 ah battery.
Only 4 GB ram.

Both have been fine for me.

What OEM had a stellar year in it's third year of making smartphones, aside from Apple?

They haven't done much better.

Specs at the moment should be taken with a large grain of salt.

Got a friend in Canada that is looking at Huawei phone.

Let's be a little fair: Hardware is not advancing by leaps and bounds anymore. Most things related to a computer (and smartphones are computers), have arrived at the point where we need a shake up in the basics in order to get amazing specs year over year. RAM just got upgraded to DDR5, probably won't see a mass rollout for a few years, and DDR6 is supposedly in the beginning stages of development.
