Finally got my full trade in refund email. What a crappy experience, mailed it on October 18th and got a refund email on November 15th.

Definitely not going with trade in route with Google next year and instead will sell locally.

The shipping issues are definitely stressful, though it seems that for the most part the phones are eventually being sorted out. Can't say I'm happy about it, but it's the lesser of two evils compared to what some have gone through at Best Buy, being told continuously their preordered phones are on delay while watching people place new orders get their phones in a matter of days, and in some cases watching their preorders be cancelled without explanation leaving them denied the promotional benefit of the preorder (not to mention having their actual new phone in a timely manner, or ever).

Google emailed me this morning stating that I'm getting my full refund.

Received the trade-in package yesterday afternoon. Factory reset the S21 Ultra(filmed ) packaged it and will be in the mail today.

Me too. Mine made it to Nashville but no update in almost a full week.

Mine went into a black hole in Nashville for a few days with no further tracking. It got delivered and I received full Trade in credit. Some of the tracking did not show. But the credit did. Don't worry.

Mine has been stuck at Nashville for 3 days. At one time it had an estimated delivery of last Friday 10/21. Now there is no delivery date just "In Transit, Arriving Late".

Mine did the same thing. It all worked out.

3XL put in mailbox 11/26, received by Google in LaVergne TN 12/2, full $275 refund issued 12/3.

I put my S21 Ultra in the mail on 12/8, was delivered on 12/12 (usps says "handed to an individual") in LaVergne Tn..

Still no credit.


Edit: Finally received my full credit today 12/20..

I'm in the same boat. My P5 was delivered on 12/12. The wait continues......

It's interesting that Google has drastically reduced the trade in value after Black Friday. That was a good deal. You might get more now selling it yourself.

I have nothing to back this other than a hunch, but I suspect that the substantial difference in trade-in value is tied to a subsidy Google may have added to whatever value was assigned by the third party (they're almost certainly not doing it directly). The Black Friday trade-in values seemed to me to have been a bit above fair market value in most cases (much like other OEMs have done), though the values now seem to be very much below in some.

Kate and I both traded our Pixel 6 Pro's for Pixel 7 Pro's. We're on Google Fi. The Black Friday trade-in estimate was $550 USD each. They were both in perfect like-new condition without a scratch anywhere. With the Black Friday price reduction of $150 USD, the upgrade cost for each phone was only $200 USD. We jumped on this like a duck on a June bug!

This morning I took the two boxes to USPS, got a receipt, and watched them get scanned in. When I got home, I checked the two numbers on the USPS web site. The two boxes are now listed as being in possession of the USPS and I will be tracking them to see their progress through the US Postal System. What fun.

We've had our new Pixel 7 Pro's for two weeks and we are extremely glad we upgraded. As much as we liked our Pixel 6 Pro's, the Pixel 7 Pro's are even better. For us, the Pixel 7 Pro has achieved as close to perfection as you can get.

My guess would be the shelves are full of used phones so the price goes down(supply and demand), and yes the subsidy ended if there was one
