I had the same problem and the Google CSR walked me through resolving the problem.
Go to Google Wallet
Click on the horizontal ellipsis (...)
Go to Settings
Click on Reset Google Wallet
...Unfortunately, I can't remember if there was a step after that and am unwilling to click on it to find out as I do not wish to reset my own. However, it finally stopped giving me an error message after I did that and I was able to set it up.
Hopefully, this helps you and I have not responded to you in another post. I just thought I would try to help out my fellow EVO LTE users with the one thing I do know about this particular issue.![]()
According to Google Wallet support.. system is down and just wait.. been waiting since last night.
Sent from my EVO using Android Central Forums
Going to give them till Friday to get it running...if not, then its time to root so I can use this FEATURE of the phone!
This requires root. Also, is it true that Google blocked the Evo intentionally? If so, I wonder if Sprint's nfc wallet development has anything to do with it.
Yes, I know it requires Root...I said that in my post 3 post's above your's. Anyway I did root tonight and did the mod/hack to the build.prop file as the instructions stated and it worked perfect...so much for me waiting till Friday to root. All is well with my wallet, going to try it out tomorrow.
I want to ask the obvious. Do we REALLY care about Google Wallet?
I imagine a lot of people care about getting their free $10.
My Google wallet seemed to be working, never used it, but it showed my $10 balance on the pre-paid card. I went to use it today and it "unfortunately, Google Wallet has not yet been certified in your country or on your device / carrier". Not sure what happened. Anyone else seeing this?
OMG - looks like Google and Sprint relationship might have fallen apart... This is sounding like such a fail..
