I haven't seen anything about the screen being Gorilla Glass or not, did I miss it some where?

Re: Gorilla Glass?

You can't tell by just looking at the phone, and the Nexus 3 don't officially exist yet so it wouldn't be listed anywhere. But I'm sure it will be on Corning's website after announcement or launch.

Re: Gorilla Glass?

Does anyone know if the Nexus Prime will have Gorilla Glass? Thanks.

Re: Gorilla Glass?

Nexus S definitely doesn't have gorilla glass. Galaxy S and S2, and Tabs do have it though.

Would be great if the galaxy nexus included it!

Corning says otherwise :)

No they dont. Nexus s is not under their list. Glad to hear my asus transformer is though.

Does gorilla glass really help? Don't you still need a screen protector?

Re: Gorilla Glass?

It is a lot less scratch prone. I use a protector on my phone and it has gorilla glass. Can never be to safe.

Re: Gorilla Glass?

To be honest I baby my phone either way but it would be good to have.

Re: Gorilla Glass?

I really hope it has gorilla glass. It would be a big disappointment if it didn't. I baby my phones, and usually get away without a screen protector/case without any problems. No gorilla glass, however, might make that a problem.

Why would that make it a problem? Even scratch-proof glass scratches. A screen protector is cheap insurance (especially on a $600 phone).

It would make it a problem because I don't want to have to use a screen protector. I didn't say it was a huge deal, just that I prefer to go without them. I feel comfortable putting a gorilla-glass phone without a screen protector in my pocket, and I wouldn't with a regular glass phone.

I'm just not a big fan of screen protectors. I think they look bad, no matter how cleanly they are installed, and have found very few that feel as good as the actual screen and are relatively easy to clean.

do you have a gorilla glass phone? because it sounds like you dont...

it does an EXCEPTIONAL job protecting your screen, no screen protector is needed whatsoever.

I really want the galaxy nexus.. but if it comes out without gorilla glass I will simply be forced to buy the razr because durability is one of my main selling points.. and I would rather stick with my facinate then use any phone with a screen protector on it. (its hideous, and just feels awful to use)

Re: Gorilla Glass?

The boys over at phandroid confirmed gorilla glass with the Samsung rep after the launch event. in fact they asked him twice.
