Yes and no. All the telephony stuff is in the frameworks and the frameworks stuff is always changing. Right now with the lastest telephony commits 3G doesn't work for me. Two of the patches I used were merged but then reverted with alot of code changes that left 3g not working for me. That's why I haven't posted any new builds, hoping things get sorted out in the telephony area.
It's built into the ROM. Can you guys chime in her and let me know what each carrier's voicemail # should be. *86 or your 10-digit phone number. I'm running a 4.4.2 build from today with working Wifi-hotspot and kernel tweaks by Stargo (Droid 4 builds) that may fix the no deep sleep issue and some power management improvements. He's really stepped up and keeping the developments going. Jump of there and give him thanks.
If you all can update me with the voicemail number settings I'll crank out some builds for you to play with.
Yea I saw one new 3g "fix" merged yesterday so I tried the newest nightly. I made the proper build prop changed needed and had 3g on first boot but never had it again after that.
Interesting, guess I better try the same and see what I can come up with.
Gerrit Code Review that's the newest 3g patch that was merged yesterday. It should allow forced 3g connectivity instead of only transition from LTE to 3g like before.
It appears NV is the issue. SIM/RUIM phones have 3G working. It looks like its not getting the info from NV. Starting to learn more and understand the code a little better.

Element is the 10 digit phone number. I think I told you that wrong earlier. Sorry about that. We used to be Alltel and I don't think much really changed. If that helps. We also are somewhat connected to Verizon as mobile to mobile is free with Verizon. My area should have become Verizon but the tower owners in my area decided to start their own company, ie Element. That may be meaningless but thought maybe it would mean something to you guys that are better at this than I am. Element will all be ending this year as we get bought out by AT&T and switched to GSM.
