LOL too funny!! I do the same thing. When I bought my EVO, I was really hoping the Sprint store I went to wouldn't remember me. Of course, the rep looked at me and said, hey weren't you in here about 7 months ago buying the Touch Pro 2? I think I turned a few shades of red.

MolecularGraph: I'm not trying to hijack your thread. I'm still thinking of what else I can ask that I don't already know, thanks to all your other helpful answers ;)

Not a problem, I love hearing these stories, they're great.

Well I got some cool news today - Some people already have their Droid X's, and some more are already running the test version of the Droid X's Froyo on their phones, looks like a working version is out there, just working out the kinks!

Is it possible to wipe all preloaded screen Widgets? Basically I'm planning to wipe each one except the main and customize for whatever I need.

Heres how it works, the widgets are on a screen to the left on default, just like any other widget you can move it to any other screen, but also like any other widget you can delete it and your screen will be blank, so while you cannot take them off the device, you can however make them not visible, if that helps.

Wow I feel stupid.

I keep forgetting these couple things that the "blur" actually does change.

1. The menu tab looks different, it has been changed to a white triangle inside of a circle.
2. There is shortcuts to the different home screens.
3. There is a shortcut to the phone to the left of the menu tab.
4. There is a shortcut to your contacts to the right of the menu tab.

Perfect, thanks!

Something I'd like to add on a side note, I've held the Evo 4G and in comparison the X feels better in hand in my opinion, the Evo is too wide for my personal taste, harder to reach across it with just a thumb, while I've got plenty of vertical travel, the horizontal isn't as high :)

How was the social networking widget and the rss widget? I'm curious if the rss widget can manage google reader? And u mentioned u played some games. Which ones and how did they play?

Really wish I could be of more help about the widgets, they seemed unobtrusive enough, but the game we played was Need for Speed, and for a phone game it seemed as though they were great graphics and didn't get choppy at all with live wallpapers running and multiple other apps/widgets.

my turn my turn can you turn the blur off and use vanilla android like on the evo? or will we be required to just use adw launcher in order to get the vanilla feel?

oh is the battery actually facing the other direction then all the other androids or were those bad pix i saw?

i sure do hope you can clear defaults on the launcher and use vanilla android. if that option is not available i know it will get A LOT of people upset ( including me ). if not tho i guess we will just have to use a different launcher. but IMO all these answers about performance are pretty much inaccurate the phone is not activated like the OP said. so there for everything is going to be a lot faster then when activated and radio comes into play and all that. but i can't wait to get this phone next week. hehehe

Apart from the social networking widgets (which I understand to be some form of "Blur") I am interested in the whole style of the widgets in general. In most of the videos you can see people adding, resizing, and moving all sorts of widgets around. From a quick look, they kind of look outdated or really simple. Almost as if there is no "punch" add to the style of them. Sense UI seems to have a very beautiful and crisp style to the widgets. What was your impression of the widgets overall, graphically?

Not a great color selection and they are very"old school" motorola. Great function, but the design is lack luster.

There are tons of benchmarks where the phone is activated all over the web, its quick and has a good db reading in comparison to other phones. What more is needed?

That is what I figured. It shows in all the media coverage that I have seen.

Personally I don't need big flashy colorful apps and widgets, makes it feel kind of cartoonish.:cool:And as you can tell by my Android cool face, I'm much too cool for cartoons!:D
