[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][6/30] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

So, I'm super bored today, and I don't think I can hold my curiosity off any longer... What's the best, most stable JB ROM to go with, right now? Also, what, exactly, isn't quite working, in terms of the features? I've heard that, for example, the options in notifications (for instance, being able to "call back" right from a missed call notification in the drop down menu) don't work, but I've heard that's not true from other sources.

Jelly Belly 1.6.

Everything should work aside from stuff still in beta like adding stuff to Google Now.

Also, GPS was absolutely perfect last night.

What exactly is meant by "adding stuff to Google Now"? Also, out of curiosity, is the original stock ICS browser gone now, in these ROMs, and replaced by Chrome, or is it still on these JB builds?

Enable Web history under your Google account settings (from a computer). Can't link or describe more accurately now, but it's not too hard to find.

This will allow Now to start collecting more data, set up teams, etc. For location based cards you have to enable Latitude and set your home/work locations in there.

+1 Jelly Belly (Battery life is stellar)!

It's kind of a gimmick, in maps up top to the left is where the drop menu is and just select Laitude and all of a sudden your Google+ pic shows up smack dab in the middle of maps.

I'm not finding where that is at all. Anyone else know what he's talking about?

Go to Google.com, then click on your account (you'll see your picture and crap there if you're signed in). Then root around and make sure your web history is not "paused" but is enabled.

So, on Jelly Belly 1.6, should I download Superuser, or no? I see an app in the drawer labeled "SuperSU", so is Superuser unnecessary?

Re: [GUIDE][6/30] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Anyone know if any of these newer ports fix the received MMS always in slideshow bug? I don't have any issues with my current setup, but was thinking of flashing jelly belly 1.6 if the MMS was working right.

Jellybeanin' on tapatalk

I get this on any ROM, but to have it happen it has to be a photo that was sent to an iphone and then sent to me. If its a photo the sending iphone took itself it does not happen.

Hopefully that makes sense.

That is "superuser," just a different app. Does the same thing. Be sure to update the binary!

So late to this thread since I have been on vacation last week... spent about $3,500 for a week in Orlando......

Anyways... I noticed the Franco Nightly doesn't work with the Vicious port. I get stuck at the Google Logo. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks.

Also, should i stick with Vicious or Jelly Belly? I'm reading that Jelly Belly is better with performance..

Wait a bit at the logo--it can take some time. What nightly are you using?

Also, did you buy the Islands of Adventure? lol

I waited about 20 min :-( after using the latest nightly. 194 I think.

Yeah, I went to Island of Adventure (rode Hulk 4 times just to get the photo right, my Girlfriend wanted a good pose).

But what ate my funds was Discovery Cove and riding with the Dolphins.

2 days at disney as well.

lol that's why. Back out of there and reflash the rom, wipe cache/dalvik.

The nightlies are not ready for JB. If you want franco kernel, follow the link in the guide (post 4). He does not have them listed in his app for now.

The Hulk was awesome; I was there the summer it debuted I believe and they had those "jump the line" pass things. I went on it 3 times in a row and then took a break and did it all over again the next day lol.

Also, +1 for riding on/with dolphins.

OP Update ==> Added Leankernel and Trinity kernel to post 4.

Franco's nightlies aren't for JB.. He has a separate JB kernel test area, someone else can hopefully link as I'm away from computer..

Is Jelly Belly better by any chance? Noticeable differences from Vicious?
