So the source is finally out, then? I saw some news blurb, but I was confused as to whether or not this was the fabled "source" devs have been waiting for.

LOL, ok.. Just read the changelog, it's a hybrid build of port and AOSP.

" now AOSP 4.1.1/hybrid (pure aosp in next release)
fixed init.d scripts
official VZW binaries for 4.1.1
fixed wifi
fixed signal issues
fixed graphics (namely, colors)
fixed a lot of crap for 4.1.1, leave it at that
this is a transitional build to a pure aosp that's next!
use 07/04 GApps!
JB Bootloader HIGHLY recommended!"

I'll hold off. Right now i'm sync'd with the repos and will be building a flashable zip from source tonight .

actually, speaking of radios.... now that official VZW binaries are released, and devs can bake jelly beans with it, are we finally going to see some improved connectivity?

Ok, I'm going to flash the JB bootloader before I install 2.6.

So refresh my memory on the order in which to flash bootloader, is it:

Wipe, bootloader, rom, gapps, kernel?

3. wipe system
4. flash ROM
5. flash GApps

I downloaded the bootloader, rebooted, and now I'm downloading 2.6. I was going to do them separate.

I'm compiling as fastboot-able images, btw. Felt it was safer and I can monitor the steps.

Going to fastboot the images, fastboot CWM, then reboot. Will need to flash a new kernel and jazz.

Looks like that rom may be busted, btw. No Wifi means possibly an error or he forgot the binaries lol

Lots of complaints and it seems that they can't get the gapps to work... But hey, someone had to be first lol

Yeah I may wait. I'm going to let mine compile and I may make a zip version tomorrow as well. My feeling is the dev rushed it and forgot some things lol
