Guide on data2ext!

Ok... I followed all the steps no errors returned But...
I backed up first Then:
Download the data2ext flashable zip
disabled signing
Flashed the zip using the ClockworkMod Recovery
In the ClockworkMod Recovery, selected Advanced and then Partition SD Card
Chose 512mb (as my 8gig class 10 isn't here yet)
Swap 0
Rebooted
Launched ADB Shell (CMD)
# SU
Ensured that mmcblk0p2 wassn't mounted:
# umount /sd-ext
Then:
# mke2fs -m0 -b4096 /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
# tune2fs -O extents,uninit_bg,dir_index /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
# e2fsck -yf /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
# tune2fs -o journal_data_writeback /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
# tune2fs -O ^has_journal /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
# data2ext --enable
# reboot
No Errors returned
Restored data to card... everything works great... But...I don't show any memory gain. My total space for my card shows I have 500MB + less than before but the internal storage space numbers are the same... see attached PIC
Is this another noob FU? Did I blow it somewhere?
Arrgh...
Haven't move to ext4...
Rom, Kernel & recovery in my "sig".

Try su. Then data2ext --enable. Are you running any other scripts like cache to ext? What rom do you have and are we talking about an optimus s phone here?

I need help did something here go awry? I went through all the steps on the wiki guide just rebooted and it says for internal storage 165mb with available space of 26.54mb is this correct?
When I did the first command it returned something about invalid blocks but everything else seemed fine. Did I do something wrong here? I am on drew's mod. I had booted my phone since doing the format could that be it?

I don't believe you should see an error. Can you paste the commands and the error from the cmd prompt?

I was using the internal shell so I can't really show it I thought it was working but seeing as I don't have 512mb of internal it seems it didn't work.

Definitely didn't work. lol. Start over (don't need to partition the sdcard again) start with the format. Use cmd prompt this time and make sure you are in recovery typing the commands when you are supposed to and you reboot and type commands when you are supposed to.

what is meant by typing commands in recovery?? I partitioned using xionia cwma and there isn't really any commands.

Step 17 from the instructions: Reboot your phone however you would like, assuming no errors from the above commands.

You need to start over. You can skip the partition part since you have already done that.

how do I enable adb shell? This command stuff is a pain in the butt, I was using terminal emulator.

I figured out adb shell but I keep on having problems doing this should all the commands be run when android was booted?

umount wont work if its not mounted in the first place. the first command shows that its not mounted. so continue with the rest of the commands. I suggest doing it all while in recovery and then booting and typing data2ext --enable. then reboot.

Try doing the commands with terminal emulator from the phone. You can copy and paste then press enter after each command line.
