Has my phone been hacked?

[Android Central Question]

I was noticing earlier today that all of my text I was sending the text window was turning red. A little bit later I noticed that I was receiving text from contacts but none of my text were going through. Then I heard my phone notifying me of an incoming message and it was one of my contacts answering a text supposedly sent from me that i never sent her. It wasn't someone spoofing my number because the text was right there in my message history.Now my text windows turn red instantly and none of them go through. I apologize for the long drawn out explanation.

Welcome to Android Central! It's highly unlikely that this is due to being hacked. I suspect more of an issue with poor reception. What's your cell signal like when this happens? Are you using wi-fi calling? Do you have RCS Chat features turned on?
