This is my first post so bear with me.

I have a pair of headphones that I've had for about 6 months, and I've been using them on my phone and PC. They work completely fine on PC and untill about a few days ago worked on my phone. Nothing was wrong with them, untill they just stopped getting recognised by my phone. They are recognised by the PC, and other headphones are recognised in my phone, but my headphones arnt. Any idea why this is?

Welcome to Android Central! What's the brand and model of the headphones? Does anything happen if you push the plug into the headphone jack a little harder, or pull it out slightly?

I have Skullcandy smokin buds 2, and I've tested pushing them in farther and it's not working.

That's a headscratcher. I wanted to make sure they weren't headphones that were specifically "Made for iPhone," but it doesn't mention that on the product page. You're saying that you've tried the Skullcandy buds in other phones as well? (You mention it in the thread title, but not in the main body of the post.)

I wonder if there's a problem with the remote Pause/Play control -- maybe it's on permanent Pause. This wouldn't affect its performance on a PC, since I don't think the PC's headphone jack would have the contacts for the remote controls or the mic.

it doesn't work on other phones, but has worked on multiple PC's. I suppose it's possible it's on a permanent pause as the last thing I did with the headphones was listening to Spotify.
