Hisense Sero 7 Pro - Unboxing pictures (no video)

Didn't mess around with clearing any caches... just waiting for the update to naturally appear. Hit the update button, and everything took about 5 minutes. No issues when trying to connect to the Google Play store.

Wish I knew what this did... and wish we'd be getting an Android 4.3 update! :)

The sero 7 pro is my first tablet and I really like it. Can someone tell me what I need to do to move music, videos, and book files to my sd card? Do I need some sort of file manager app? Thanks

Yes, you do. Suggest you try ES File Explorer.

When I first transfer all my music, Photos, and videos, I always take the card out and use a card reader on my PC
It's quicker.

The update finally came through this AM. No issues. I was also notified about a couple of app updates so that is OK too.

Patience is the key. My update suddenly appeared last night. No problems with it.

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and restored my tablet back to day one; as I never could get my app updates to load. I can now download all my apps plus their updates, but it was a hassle, and I still don't have the new software update. Weird, but that has been my only issue. I'm going to wait until I'm officially notified that I have an software update in the future.

Downloaded from where?
Are they downloaded through Kindle or Nook books?
Or are they downloaded from a website?

To start with You'll need a file manager like Astro or ES File Manager.

I just fooled a bit with the new Nexus 7, 16 Gb at Best Buy. First impression. As far as speed or responsiveness, I don't think its screen response or app launch time is better than the Hisense Sero 7 Pro. However, the 1920x1200, 323 ppi screen is the best I've seen. It also doesn't seem to pick up finger prints as much, more like my Thrive AT100.

I did the same thing yesterday.
My wife needed a new laptop, so I wondered over and played with the new Nexus 7.

It's a nice tablet, but other than the desire to buy new tech, I couldn't see any reason to buy it.

In order to replace my Sero 7, I would need the 32gb version, and at $269 I there wasn't a compelling reason to buy it.

Also to use the HDMI out, I'd have to buy a $30 Slim Port adapter, and I'm also starting to read complaints about the video out quality of the Nexus.

I guess I've been spoiled by what I can do with a $149 tablet :)

The new Nexus has a superior resolution, but I'm convinced the color reproduction is better in the Sero. Serious banding on my new N7, though I might have gotten a bad panel.

Return it now..

The density was, incredible on the new Nexus.

I can use the LCDDensity app on the Sero 7 to offset the difference a little bit

My 2 week return window ends on 7/31. The Nexus 7 is not worth the difference in $. My only issue is a flickering of the screen. It doesn't appear only on auto brightness but even on a fixed level.-appears mostly when I go from a dark screen-like pull downs or apps menu- back to a mainly light screen. Anyone else notice this? It could be only my unit. At any rate, I am thinking of returning it and waiting to try the new ASUS MeMo pad HD 7 when it is available 8/9. I am a bit more confident of ASUS on OS updates at least for a few, not sure of Hisense. If it is not up-to-par with the Hisense, then I'd go back to the Pro. Comments or experience on ASUS?

I've decided to get the new Nexus 7. The Hinsense was my first Android Tablet and it's a fantastic value. The reasons I'm making the switch are these:

The screen on the new Nexus is night and day better imo. The speed and fluid motion are much better than the s7 pro. With a Nexus device, I'm guaranteed updates. Since there isn't support on a non rooted device to move apps or play movies/songs to my sd card, the lack of it on the nexus are a non issue to me. I got the 32GB version so I'm set with memory. Chromecast solves no hdmi out for me, I know it's extra $, but I can use it with all of my devices.

These are just my reasons. I'm not knocking this tablet because it is a great one, kinda sad I'm getting rid of it. When I compared the 2 side by side, I made my decision. I hope Hinsense keeps updates rolling out for everyone!

Sent from there can only be HTC One
