AC Question

Every time I voice text, my phone repeats the sentence or paragraph twice. Anyway to avoid this annoyance?

Re: How do I stop my voice text from repeating everything twice (or more)?

Have tried many of the "solutions" proposed here. None work. Wish I'd stayed with my old Windows phone. For all the "glitzy" things that it wouldn't do, it did all the necessary things flawlessly. My new, all-singing-and-dancing S7 can't say that. POS.

I found a temporary solution... sort of...

I rolled back the update on Google App (Google Now) and disabled it and then downloaded Google Voice Search. So I'm gonna rock old school voice to text until Google figures this out.

I tried EVERYTHING mentioned here and on other forums and it appears to have ZERO connection to make, model, carrier or Android version, WiFi on or off, etc. This is a server issue on Google's end, is my guess.

screw it i give up,
i've tried all the suggestions on this thread nothing works, many of them I tried before posting on here last night. i've used android since 2009 and this is the most annoying problem i've ever had. what makes it worse is, I just bought this phone on Friday. i'm sure google will fix it soon. thank you to everyone for all your info.

Putting the phone into Airplane Mode seems to resolve the problem on the two phones we have tested. Of course this begs the question, "Is everything we dictate being sent to Big Brother?" Yes, we know that happens with "OK Google," but are all your texts and voice mail dictations being sent to Google? Why does putting it in Airplane Mode and thereby disabling their access magically fix the problem?

Problem came on suddenly for my phone today as well. S6. Google search bar is unaffected but everything else (text, snapchat to name a couple) gives me 2, sometimes 3 or 4 repeats. The thing with my issue is that the repeats appear to be other phonetic possibilities, like it's listing every possible combination.

For example if i say: "test 1 2 3", here's what i get:

test one two three test 1 2 3 test123

Bizarre and annoying. Anyone have any actual solutions for this?

My S7/Nougat started doing this today. Interestingly, it's not actually repeating. If you look carefully, you'll notice that it's returning every variation of the words that you speak, when it should only return the most likely words. Every phrase that I say has several possibilities, based on my speech patterns (and likely countless other factors).

There's an example of a simple statement. Here's an example of a simple statement. There's an example of a simple statement period here's an example of a simple statement period yours an example of a simple statement.

Re: How can I fix the "com.android.systemui has stopped" error?

Uninstall the latest Google update and it did not work for me uninstall the latest Google update in it did not work for me uninstall the latest Google update in a did not work for me

I have a Samsung Note 5 with the same problem. This problem has come and gone on it's own for some reason, one day the problem is here, the next it's not. Really frustrating. I have tried most of the fix's on this thread and nothing worked. I don't think it has anything to do with updates or any other settings. Just a really frustrating glitch. I just installed "TALK TYPE VOICE KEYBOARD" app from the play store, and the problem is no longer there. See how long it works, I do like this app and it's free

well the only solution I see to it that was posted here is putting the phone in airplane mode. That does work. Then taking it out and posting or sending. That's the only thing that seems to work right now

I bet this has something to do with the new Google Assistant updateI'd bet this has something to do with the new Google Assistant update I bet this has something to do with the new Google Assistant updates I'd bet this has something to do with the new Google Assistant updates...
This is ridiculous

I think this is a bug in an android system update. My wife and I have Nexus 5x phones. She doesn't have the problem and I do. She has an outstanding android system update that she didn't apply. I think I applied mine yesterday, but I only noticed this problem today. I just applied a new update and that didn't fix mine.

The only thing that has worked for me has been turning off wifi or turning on airplane mode.
