How smooth is the UI on your Evo 3d?

After seeing the comparison video from Phil between the Sensation and the Evo 3d, I was hoping that the animation transition going from homescreen to homescreen would be completely smooth. But maybe going from watching it in a video to seeing it happen in real life something got lost. My phone struggles a bit especially when any live wallpaper is on, but even with just a picture background it doesn't always seem silky smooth like it was shown and described in many videos. The demo unit at Radio Shack was the same way, so I am guessing this is normal?

Unlike with the Sensation though, as seen in Phils Video, I have no problem putting it into the carousel spin.

If you would have to nail it down, does your homescreen transition animation look like it's running at 30 fps, or more like at 15? Mine is definitely the latter.

Input please?

Smooth as silk here. After having it 5 days now, I'm still impressed how fast it is, no lag at all like I had on the 4G.

Mine is smooth but there is a slight hitch as it gets back to the screen you started with when it's ready to stop. I have noticed this started to get a little worse with each thing I have loaded up on the homescreens. Ie: customizing each screen with shortcuts, widgets and pictures etc etc it's gotten a bit more "un smooth" if you will but yet still smooth just not as completely fluid as the day I got it. I only notice this hitch as it's about to come to a stop after spinning. It's like that final adjustment before stopping at the main screen you started the spin with is what I mean.

Its pure butta baby. But, I have noticed that if i flick it too fast or hard it spins like a top! Other than that, it super responsive.

Well I would say the only reason for the slight hitch or lag is directly related to what's currently running in the background or how heavy the load is on the cpu/gpu on the homescreens. I forgot to mention I'm running a live wallpaper as well. It's nothing crazy just the basic nexus live wallpaper that comes pre loaded with the OG Evo and the E3D. So I mean there's no magic or rocket science involved here. I need to maybe reboot and clear all the running processes and see what it changes. Again not a abig deal it's very slight but I know it wasn't there the first day. Still very fast, responsive and smooth.

No lag on the homescreen, but it's shifts between screens at a noticeably low framerate using Sense. The app menu, however, is laggy. I switched to Launcher pro and it was like night and day. Scrolling menus in apps are still terribly laggy though. Here's a video (not mine) that shows the issue well:

I remember seeing a "clear cache" option on the engadget review video, but I can't find it on the phone. Was thinking this might help a little with lag. Anyone remember seeing this?

First I would like to say, what a great a piece of device this phone is. Im not your typical fanboy, techy, indepth gadget analyzer, or whatever they are called nowadays. I'm your average Joe. Thus, I'm going to give you a fair, unbiased, response based on observation so far. As far as the UI goes, its smooth. I'm not quite sure what your expectations were, and I haven't played with every single smartphone to make a concrete judgement. However, from experience with my EVO 3D the UI is smooth. Keyword here is UI. I do believe there are other aspects of the device that isn't so smooth, ie... Web browsing, few of the apps I've dowloaded from the market ( which may or may not be the device's fault ) etc... At times I feel as if the device is too smooth, very sensitive, and fluid ( I do consider that to be a plus by the way, no complaints here ). The functionality of the UI, like I mentioned before, is pretty solid and silky smooth. That is my observation and slight insight so far.

Go to Settings > SD & Phone Storage > Make more space

From there you can clear the cache on

rarely used applications
clean one week ago application cache

or
All applications
Clean all application cache

I know what you're talking about and you are not alone.

If you have the htc calendar widget(full month view) on one of your homescreens it will lag when scrolling between the two.

You have to take into consideration what some may consider lag and what you consider lag. But I know what you're talking about and it bothered me too... Try that calendar thing im talking about.

For those that are saying yours is smooth did you pre order from sprint? Mine isn't as smooth and I bought mine at best buy.
