How to change boot animations and mp3 in new froyo leak

so successfully got new froyo leak going and their new boot animation replaced my old one. tried usual method of changing boot screen but its a no go. any advice?

Yea,I just tried loading my BIOS boot animation and it killed my 3g radio...oops!

Yeah I just had the same thing happen...so dont try using root explorer and moving the zip file to the system/customize/resource dir because that will just break your 3G

My advice is the new boot animation is freakin sweet. Just leave it.

But seriously, are you referring to the method of pushing the bootanimation.zip with adb into /data/local?

yeah pushing it with bootanimation.zip with adb into /data/local. new one is nice but i like my old one more.

Huh, interesting. I don't want to test it, I believe you, but I don't know why this would happen. Maybe there is something up with this leak that doesn't allow/ doesn't like being pushed new bootanimation.zips

I deleted the boot animation zip file after it broke my 3G and restarted and it restored it so not a major set back

i pushed one thru and my 3g is fine. didnt replace the animation tho

Hmmm.. even more interesting that one person got a different result. We shall look into this.

I pushed it through using recovery and it didnt replace my animation either and didnt remove my 3G. So I searched the file structure and tired to manually replace the VZW boot animation and that is when it messed things up.

only thing i noticed that was a lil off was my custom audio got real quiet at the end. but no biggy. easy fix.
