The card is definitely getting written to. I get the sideways "android_" text and and centered "ANDROID" logo during boot, then it jumps to the "password to decrypt" screen.
I still had the file name from v3 in that command - if you didn't realize to change it on your own, that would explain your problem. I edited OP with v4's file name.
I just ordered my Nook Color, should be here in a day or two (caught the Valentines Day Free Express Shipping special - sweet). I'd like to run Honeycomb on a Class 10 SD card, and overclock it as suggested.
Questions:
- Should the SD card be SDHC?
- How do I overclock it? I found the info on overclocking Nookie Froyo, but not sure if those instructions extend to overclocking Honeycomb.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Make that four - I put nookhoney04.img onto mine, and much to my dismay got "Enter password to decrypt storage", when I tried to boot from it..
Just want to say, I got the exact same behavior. Took out the card, re-inserted it,
and then all of a sudden it went past that message. But was practically useless,
everything would FC.
I tried doing this but couldn't get past the screen, even tried doing it twice
have also redownloaded everything, reburned everything, still no luck
How would I reformat my card to get it back to a normal 16gb micro sd?
I just want to thank everyone from the dev to those that were very patient and answered the trouble-shooting questions. I am not so young anymore, but with careful reading and application of the instructions and the problem solving suggestions, I have been able to run my NookColor off the sd card using Honeycomb and reclaim space from the fourth partition on the Sandisk 8gb card.
No need now to run out and buy that 16gb card I was thinking about. I am very happy with the results and look forward to improvements and changes in the future. Imagine that, a tablet for $249.00 plus tax!!!!!!!

Right click the drive when in "My Computer" and select Format
So I have a stock Nook Color and I don't want to change the stock software. If I save Honeycomb to an SD and put it in the Nook and it boots up Honeycomb and then shut it down and take out the card will it start up with the stock Nook software again?
I did, except it recognizes the capacity as 117 MB. I'm assuming I want to use NTFS file system instead of NTFS? What of allocation unit size?
I have a lazy question for anyone who successfully made a working foroyo and honeycomb sd card would they be willing to sell me a copy of them. I am okay with computers but some of this stuff seems highly technical. thanks
update
never mind found sd cards for sell on ebay around 40-60 bucks unless anyone wants to undercut their prices
