Yes been in it for close to 45 minutes.
From reading the thread you linked, have you tried holding down the power button to turn the phone off and turning it back on again?

We are dealing with recovery. I was just asking if she knew how to use sdk/adb. That way, she could just flash the recovery with adb.
Just tried it - disconnected it from my computer so it wouldn't get power from the computer and then held power down multiple times but still have the screen. Tried holding volume up/down together along with power and that did nothing, either. From reading the thread you linked, have you tried holding down the power button to turn the phone off and turning it back on again?
OK that worked. I think I will get that root checker app and see if I lost root.I think since it has been 45 minutes I will do a battery pull.
On my phone I only have a file called /system/recovery-from-boot.p. When I press and hold it, it says I can't delete it because it is read only file. I try to change the permissions and it says no to that too because it is read only.Yes. Are you familiar with Android SDK and ADB?
If not, I believe you can just use this method:
1. Install Root Explorer from the market and delete /system/reboot-from-recovery.p ? *Mount as R/W first
2. Go into ROM manager and reflash Recovery
3. You should have permanent CWM after that.
But there is no need to flash recovery with adb its in rom manager takes less then five mins to flash.

I have mount as r/w. I gave root explorer super user status.
Yes see hereAs soon as you open root explorer, you click the "Mount R/W" button?

This is the message I get when I try to delete the file. I think there is something wrong with my root access.

Right now, in that screen shot, you're mounted as R/O. Hit the Mount R/W button, then you'll be able to delete it.
Thank goodness screen shots are so easy to take on the GNex!You're still mounted as r/o in that screen shot as well.
Now go back into ROM Manager and flash recovery and you should be good to go!
thanks, I didn't realize that was a button. If you hit the mount r/w button does it change to mount r/o?
edit - never mind I was to late
