[How To] Root Galaxy S4

Hi, I'm new to the board.. I just spent a bunch of time trying to root my Galaxy s4. It is SGH-I337M. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've tried a couple of methods. Could someone point me in the correct direction. I consider myself to be computer savvy and now this is just making me crazy!

I have a s4 from Verizon and I'm trying to use a tmobile sim but it's not working no voice calls or nothing help please

I am having the same problem with my galaxy s4 as Eugene Arrindell. Every thing seems to be fine but no root. I am on tmobile I get the same message as he does in his pic. http://i44.tinypic.com/a3gqh0.png. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've followed the instructions, but when I open the superuser, It says that I must update the binary(su). But when I chose to install or recovery install, both of them failed. And it said there was an error installing superuser. And my s4 doesn't rooted. Any help ???

Ive completed all the steps, i open super user and it says it needs updated, so i hit install then it says "There was an error installing Superuser. PLease send a log of the error to the developer"..HELP

I would really appreciate a little help:
today I tried to root my samsung galaxy s4 GT-19505 according to your guide and recieved the following error:
rm failed for /data/local/tmp/pwn, No such file or directory.
the same error appeared for the su and busybox files,
although they are present at the same directory as the run.bat.
the application is saved on my samsung device in documents folder.
should it be at some other location, or perhaps on the PC itself?

You have to take the KNOX plunge and flash stuck via ODIN 3.7. Good luck, searching xda will help.

If your running mk2 (4.3) to my knowledge there's no mac root method and if you updated to 4.4.2 there isn't a single root method at all for kit kat windows or mac

must have unlocked boot loaders!!

There is no root method for kit kat at this time and from what I'm reading due to knox and the current libraries in 4.4.2 rooting may not be even possible they locked down the boot loader as well as the o's keep checking on xda but people have basically bricked their phones trying
