Dang, what the heck am I doing wrong?
I know this question's been asked, but I'm wondering about rooting and the possible Froyo update sometime in the hopefully near future: would it be recommended to root now, or wait until after the update and root, or not root at all and just wait for the update? This is my first droid so I'm quite unfamiliar with the Android world and would like some advice.
Also, if rooting now would be preferable, I've already downloaded Verizon's most recent update, the I500.DI01 patch. I've read above about several cases of people already rooted having problems after updating. Will the one click root work if this update has already been installed?
Thanks a lot in advance for anyone who can help!
So my phone seemed to have the update installed around 4:30 this morning (I'm assuming I saw a light in a half asleep state and tried to shut it off and clicked install instead of cancel). Anyway, I noticed I lost root access, so I ran dirrk's EZ Root v0.2 and I keep getting the following error.

I tried to run it a few times, but I either get the above error or it says Restarting and about to exploit your device and then just sits there past the 5 minutes mark.
After the phone reboots I get the wait for 5 minutes.

Start time xx:xx:xx:xx
then error: device not found
Repeated 5 times
restarting which does not happen and then the phone is locked up and not rooted.
I think that I have followed the instructions to the letter.
But I must be missing something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
