HTC Desire ROM

So today I tried to install the alpha desire with no luck. First I tried using the autorom but when I tried to run the first setup it wasn't working not sure why so then I tried installing using these instructions;
1. Download Alpha.
2. Put the unziped file in your nandroid folder on the sdcard of your phone.
3. Restart phone into recovery, holding x when the phone first boots.
4. Select backup/restore using your volume up/down keys, and camera key to select it.
5 Then go o adcanced nandroid restore.
6. Chose backup and then select the Alpha.
7. Then preform restore.
8. After the restore fishes you are going to want to go back to the main menu using the power key, and select the mount menu.
9. Mount system.
10. Plug phone into computer, and run adb from your tool folder of the android sdk.
11. Type in "/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh" (This is for 16GB sdcard only)
12. Wait for this to finish and then reboot your phone.

And when I tried to restore after a few seconds I would get a error status 25 not sure what that means.

I'm sure I missing something pretty easy and if anyone can help that would be cool.

Thanks

The nandroid is corrupt in some way. Are you using Spr or clockwork. And you downloaded the alpha from the first post correct

I was using Spr and I did download the nandroid from the first post. I also partitioned my sdcard earlier today and not sure if that has anything to do with it.

No it has nothing to do with it I wonder why yours is corrupt could be the server ill send you a pm with the link to another one just to see if it works. Can you do something for me look at the nandroid and make sure its not a folder in a folder.

here is where it is sdcard/nandroid/zuesdroid/zuesdroid/ then it has the boot.img, data.tar, nandroid.md5, system.tar

Downloading from the link you provided and will try it later but I don't have android sdk at home. I'm pretty sure you can't use terminal to enter the commands right?

Thanks for the help :)

That's crazy I pulled it from my phone and pasted it don't know why your getting that error

Under the nandroid folder, place the nandroid files under the main zeusdroid folder instead of having it inside a subfolder. Not sure if that's the problem but it's worth a try.

Got it!!!!!!!!!!!

Deleted the extra folder and it worked like a charm. And all I can say is WOW this is GREAT!! I feel like I just got a new phone.

Thanks guys for the help

With your step-by-step guide, I may be trying it tonight! Especially since I can switch between the two in Nandroid.

yeah, that's what I'm doing. I have a backup of the Koush/CM rom in SPRecovery in case I need 3G data for an extended period of time (navigation, etc). Been running it for over a week and haven't gone back to CM yet though.

You guys are making this soooooo hard haha. I wish there was an eta for when the ril will be finished. Even if it was like may 19th.

Sooo i'm following the steps that mclarryjr posted, and i'm stuck at "10. Plug phone into computer, and run adb from your tool folder of the android sdk.
11. Type in "/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh" (This is for 16GB sdcard only)"

My first question - by running adb, that just means going through the command menu (C:\android
tools)?

Second question, was I supposed to throw the mk16sdpart.sh somewhere on my SD card before I did this? Because I am trying to run C:\android\tools>/system/xbin/mk16sdpart.sh, and nothing is happening

For reference, all I put in my SD card was ZeusDroid-alpha....zip. Not the autorom. Was I supposed to?
