Agreed! Don't like headphone socket at the top...Hopefully sense software will be designed so that the screen can be automatically flipped so that you could have headset socket at the bottom when you are reading or playing games on the phone...

HTC wouldn't put fingerprint sensor/physical home button on front if they planned on having reversible UI like idol 3.

Who puts their phone in their pockets upside down? Who works out at the gym with their phone upside down? I don't see anyone at my gym working out on any exercise equipment with their phones upside down. It's either laying horizontally or vertically. That's why the headphone jack should be on top. It's annoying to have it on bottom whether driving in my rides or working out at the gym. This phone is great.

You haven't even held the phone. How can you say it's too close to the bottom? Huh

You put your phone in your pocket upside down, so that's why the headphone jack should be on the bottom. it just makes sense. The galaxy s7 has their jack in the bottom side. I'll wait to play with these two phones inside the store before I choose one. I love HTC and sense interface. The M7 was the first smartphone where I felt like I had a premium device. I'm using the M8 now and it's still a powerful phone. But now I'm torn, I'm very excited for this HTC 10, it needs to be great, but if it doesn't live up to my expectations I'll have to get the galaxy S7 and hope that the htc nexus phones will be better down the line.

Huh...a good point. While I don't use the headphone jack on my phone while in my pocket; you are correct that I do carry it bottom side up. If you do use your headphone jack while in a pocket I can certainly sign up as to why it should be on the bottom!

And given what we all expected out of M9...10 has a rough road to hoe for expectations...unfortunately it could be "right there" but it walks into the arena with a strike against it already.

That coke nail and that naked chasis of the phone that's taking the picture has distracted me from the beauty of the phone..hahaha ;-) Other than that, I'm anxious to see what the SLCD 5 brings to the table.

Highly doubt HTC would release such a design, doesn't seem likely they would move away from the boomsound speakers which was a draw for a lot of their young demographics. Personally i'm not impressed.

You know, the more I look at it the more I think the design language is from whatever/whoever did the DNA.You have the bigger ear speaker grill. And while DNA had a home button; 10 has FPS there. On Screen buttons in similar space. Same basic shape and slim. I am more and more drawn to the 10 given what I see. I am almost thinking it will be a size for size match for what I carry around now with upgraded guts and upgrades Sense.

Of course I could be completely on drugs too....LOL!

I think HTC is intent on a good sound experience. They are just not delivering it in two forward facing speakers.

I think they will get it right this time. I believe there is buzz about this phone from everyone who enjoys purchasing HTC phones.

Not sure what it is, but so many of us really look forward to HTC's launch every year. They're a polarizing brand, and I think most people are rooting for them, especially since a lot of us have owned one of their phones and have seen a lot of promise. Unfortunately they've come up short the past couple years, but hopefully the 10 will put an end to that. I know I'm looking forward to seeing it, and barring some unforeseen catastrophic mishap, plan on grabbing one as a work phone alongside my 6p!

Because it is not centered in the middle of the horizontal plane. Lower towards the chin then screen. A cosmetic disorder for OCD inclined people. Looks fine to me and functional.

The coke nail is a DIY enhancement for HTC's newest version of Sense. The software doesn't change, but the user experience is new and exciting every time.

I think HTC is intent on a good sound experience. They are just not delivering it in two forward facing speakers.

If they aren't then a lot of people will cease to be interested, and go wait for a Lenovorola X instead (who do seem to be committed to forward facing speakers).
