I got my Xoom upgraded to 4G, who else got there's?

Yea, I got one of those, as well. That also suggests that either they are "inaccurate" now or their tracking site is "inaccurate". I'll leave it at that.

I am so ^&*(*^ sick of Motorola. I truly hate the company with a passion. They are one of the most disorganized, disrespectful to customers in the world. There is absolutely no excuse for what is happening.

I don't hate them. I just think they could have handled this upgrade a bit better. Frustrated? Without a doubt. I'd just like to be kept in the loop about what's going on. If they found a problem with the upgrade, let us know. If they're shipping them out one day a week, let us know. Transparency. That's really all that would keep me from being so frustrated. Granted, I'd have LIKED to have it back by now, but, that was never guaranteed and I knew that risk when I sent it in. Not knowing where the hell it is or what the status is (has it been upgraded? Is there some problem with it??) is kind of nerve wracking and the source of my frustration right now.

No, I hate them. Now I'm back on the phone with their less than intelligent foreign customer disservice people. Now I'm being told I will receive my device back on the 12th! But, he is not able to provide me with a tracking number. Everything on the phone site says we will receive our devices back 5 business days from the day that we shipped the device to them. He is trying to say that the 12th is 5 days since it was received on the 5th.

I dropped that package off at FedEx on Saturday 10/1/11. I know that it was received at Motorola on the 4th, they did not put into their computer until the 5th. At best, the package would show being shipped on the 3rd. Which means today is the 5th business day.

Well that certainly gives more credence to the "only ship on Tuesday's" theory. I know someone else's experience blew that, but, maybe theirs was the exception and not the rule. They can't give you a tracking number because it's not technically shipped yet. I have an email saying mine was shipped, but, um, hmm, no tracking number tells me that it was not. That's what I mean about the false and misleading information. It's pretty ridiculous. It's like when my daughter was 4 and had chocolate smeared all over her face and denied eating chocolate. You can tell me you shipped my Xoom all you want but until I either receive it or have a tracking number that confirms it was shipped, I'm going to be frustrated because I don't ACTUALLY know where it is.

Those idiots, cannot give me a tracking number, they can't even tell me when my device is going to ship. I HATE MOTOROLA!

They can't say where the device is. All they are saying is there a delay. Oh wow, got to love Facebook. I made a post about how much I hate Motorola and what is going on with my Xoom. I've now received four emails from different areas of Motorola.

LOL, I just got a Customer Satisfaction Survey from Motorola for my Xoom LTE upgrade. I'd love to complete it, only if I actually HAD my upgraded unit in hand...

Your input and advice are crucial to helping us improve the Motorola XOOM 4G LTE Upgrade program. Our goal is to provide you with the best service experience possible.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a few moments to complete this short survey relating to your recent experience with our Motorola XOOM 4G LTE Upgrade program.
It should take no longer than 2 minutes of your time.

That one, by chance? I'd say that survey, at least for me, is probably...."ill timed". :D

They obviously don't know who they are messing with!

Are you trying to be funny or something? If you are, what you posted is not funny. For someone who was fortunate enough to receive their device rather quickly, a little bit of empathy would be appreciated, not the sarcasm, or whatever the heck the above is. You've gone from discussing a situation with a Motorola to turning this personal towards me in my opinion.

I got that right now too. So their @%$@#$ computers think we have received our devices back already. Just one big !$!@$% up after another for Motorola.

Well FedEx just drove by and didn't deliver a Xoom, so, it won't be today.

That happened to me when they were sending the box but, later the same guy came back and, delivered it.

I got that also and, thought it was kind of strange especially since I haven't received it back yet. It is confusing.

You should probably fill out the survey and let them know what you think about their upgrade program. :)

Not in this case unfortunately. I missed him going down the street and saw him on his way out of the neighborhood. FedEx always delivers before 1pm in my neck of the woods. I'd say Wednesday is the most likely delivery date if it's going to happen this week. Of course, if I believed Moto, I should be calling and yelling at FedEx since it was sent out on 10/5. LOL :D

It just shows that they haven't got their stuff together. I honestly think they were "rushing" to meet their self imposed deadline of doing it in September. I really don't believe they were ready for this. Although, given the amount of time they've had to prepare, I really don't understand it at all. I have to say, I'm probably not ever going to buy another device that I have to ship out for some free upgrade. At the time I bought it I didn't overly care that much about LTE since I won't be getting it in my area until next year some time. However, I travel for vacation with my family every winter and the area we're going to has LTE so I figured it'd be nice to have it done before we go in a few months. Who knows, maybe I'll even get it back by then. ROFLMAO! :D J/K :) (I hope!)

Personally I find the whole thing funny. The Xooms that show as being shipped but don't have a tracking number are sitting in a container on a loading dock waiting for someone to decide the container is full enough (or the Nerd Rage is loud enough). When it is, they'll transmit the tracking #s to FedEx, requesting a pickup of the container (which prolly updates their RMA tracking system at the same time with the tracking numbers). First thing that'll be seen on FedEx's website will be "Shipping info received".

It's business as usual for any company that does mass shipping. Normal FedEx trucks will NOT be handling the pickup. FedEx Freight will. FedEx Freight will NOT pickup piecemeal shipments. Motorola's biggest mistake is apparently missing a shipping status: Pending

And Paul, still think Motorola is out to get you? :D

I sent it back. In the section where it asks if the device powers up okay, and etc. I selected no. Then in the comments section, I said it is difficult to power up a device to see how it is working when it hasn't been returned.

Shut up. I never said that Motorola was out to get me. Is there a reason you are lying and trying to pick a fight?

I have no problem with any of that except the part about the missed shipping status. The problem I have is the inconsistent messages they send out. Sorry for the delay, no wait, it's shipped, no wait, it shipped last week, etc. The "nerd rage" as you call it comes from a lack of transparency into the process. If it wasn't ever going to be shipped out til Tuesday of this week, just tell me. This isn't overly difficult. All I ask for is valid, factual information in a timely manner. I never said I expected single day turnaround. I said that'd be nice, but, not that I was expecting it. :D But to tell me nothing at all for 4 days, then update it to "completed", and hear nothing for another few days, and then to get inconsistent info...that's the cause of the frustration. At least for me.

I didn't mean it that way at all. I was simply stating that you were not going to rest until this whole thing was sorted out. I'm leaving this pity party now...gonna' go fill out my survey and let them know how great they handled the upgrade!:-*
