I got my Xoom upgraded to 4G, who else got there's?

Mine came back yesterday after being sent in on Monday of the previous week. They didn't wipe it, which made me happy. There it's significant damage to the plastic piece that's on the top/back. They said if I mail it in they will take up to ten days to evaluate the damage and determine if they're at fault. If they are, they need another ten days for the repair.

Screw Motorola. I'm inclined to return my new Bionic as a result of this. I don't want to support them.

Based off of my experience with Motorola this past week, I have concluded the company is run by people who 52 cards shy of a full deck.

Hopefully, Google's will keep them far away from their engineers.

I'm thankful I got mine back in good shape and, not going through what you guys are. I feel for you. I'm never, ever buying something that's not completed and, has to be sent back again.

I joined this forum when the Xoom had just been seen at CES. I was really excited about it, probably more excited about any device I'd ever been. While I like it, it's been a big disappointment overall, mostly from the consumer experience. If I had to to it over again, I wouldn't have got it, let alone sign a contract through Verizon. The LTE does make things easier.

Just got my Xoom back this morning. So far I have no complaints and am satisfied with the upgrade process. I really appreciate Motorola giving the docking station as a freebie too.

I currently do not have a data plan, so I don't have any feedback on the 4G upgrade itself, but sure am happy it is completed.

I was without my Xoom for a total of 7 days (2 were weekend days) and it made me realize how integrated the Xoom has become with my daily routines etc. The Xoom rocks!!

I am completely shocked. My Xoom was delivered today. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I received absolutely no notification and the tracker never updated. Not to mention that "supervisor" who never called me back to give me the update on its status.

I'm happy that it has been returned, but completely disillusioned with Motorola and disorganized they are.

This upgrade was a horrible experience. Oh and the standard dock thing as a "small" way of showing their thanks, really is a small minded idea. Motorola truly is run by stupid people if they think that is enough after the crap they have put us all through with this upgrade.

Well, at least you were able to get it upgraded and get it back. And it was under 2 weeks. Was it a great experience? No, it was not. Not by a long shot in terms of being kept in the loop on what was going on. But, IMO, it could have been much, much worse. Anyway, glad you got it back!

You are right. It could have much, much worse. What I consider to be much, much, worse is for them to still have our devices and completely incapable of keeping us informed as to its status. Which to me is the most significant problem with how they handled the upgrade.

After reading the one horror story, as soon as I opened the package, I pulled it out and looked all around it for damage. LOL

I honestly don't blame you. I checked mine first thing, as well. Not even a scratch. Looks like they handled it well. The upgrade is as promised. While the lack of info sucked, overall, we did get them upgraded. :)

I received mine yesterday. Took exactly one week. Wednesday shipped out at Fedex. Wednesday received at home.

Got mine back today...unless I turn on WiFi I have NO internet connectivity. I'm going to give it a little bit, then I gues wipe and reloaded.
If that doesn't work....back to Verizon with it I guess.

Try pulling the SIM card out, and putting it back in. It doesn't always seat very well and can get loose during shipping.

sent mine out on monday afternoon (10/10) and got it back this morning (10/14) everything works great and they didn't wipe it. They sent me the dock also so I guess they haven't run out of supplies on those yet. As is posted elsewhere, it came with the new market installed.

I don't have the 4G activated yet...am considering trying a prepaid plan for a month to see how it is. Anyone else do that? wondering how much of a pain in the butt it is to get it activated.

I ended up having to call Verizon. For some reason the sim wasn't activated. Took about 30 min all told.

Excellent. Glad you got it fixed!

So has anyone gone more than 8 or 9 days without getting theirs back yet? So far 8 or 9 seems to be the longest amount of time. That's really not too horrible in the grand scheme of things.

So far business as usual here... it's like she was never gone :) I can tell I'm on pretty busy LTE tower as lucky to get 16/11 for down/up. But still faster than before. Also as much as reloading the apps annoyed me, I was planning on doing a clean up anyways so sort of forced me into it.

Anyone else note a extreme battery drain? I could usually leave mine in the briecase all day, and perhaps be down to 80%. After the update it's more like down to 39%. I didn't touch it all day, had it with me just in case.

I haven't had that problem.

Not seeing it here either really. Mine was last charged Friday at 5pm, and at 4pm today it was at 15% usage so I plugged it in. That was with average use.

Same here.

Mine is down from lasting 2 days on a charge to 1 - 1.5 days. But I figure it's from losing / searching / reacquiring 4g service. There are some dead spots here in Philly. My Charge goes thru it, especially in areas of North Philly. My Charge barely lasts 8 hours because of it.

Now on weekends when my Xoom stays home in solid lte area, I won't have to dock it till the night before work.
