In screen Fingerprint scanner results

My 6 Pro fps works great. What I did is register each finger from the tip of my finger to the first crease and from one side to the other side. Unlocks every time. Maybe I'm lucky I guess.

Agree with you 100%. I don't think many of those having problems are taking the time to set it up correctly. I did the same thing and tried every possibly angle and went up to the first joint, laid the finger completely sideways and then only the tip. Maybe millennials with no patience?? Mine works flawlessly.

I did the same. Four fingers trained once tech very carefully, accuracy is excellent, speed is not as fast as the rest FPS of the 5, but it's much faster than I thought based on all the negative posts. It's like we are using two different pieces of hardware.

Mine works fine as well, may have to hold my finger there a fraction of a second longer, but my day isn't ruined because of it. I don't have multiple fps of the same fingerprints, either.

I've read that some Pixel 6 models are having issues with this... But I've also read that some users are reporting great results. Hope an update fixes this for you guys!

not a milennial, 66 years old. Ever hear of Nexus? I had Nexus 1. The Pixel 6 is a step back to those days.

After registering my pointer and thumb twice each, I'm having good luck with the FPS. No, it's not as fast as the face unlock on my 4xl, but it's certainly not an issue for me. It has failed a few times but honestly, its been my fault with me either lifting off too quickly, putting my finger down at a weird angle, or my finger slipping a bit as I put it down on the screen. When I lay my finger down correctly it has been very accurate in unlocking.

It's not loving my right thumb. With index fingers and my left thumb are having much better luck. And I've tried erasing and redoing my right thumb (as well as doing two different fingerprints for it).

I'm coming from the Galaxy Note 20. I have the P6P, and the finger print sensor had worked 95% of the time, for me. The difference between this Pixel and the Note 20's finger print is the pressure it takes to me for my finger print to register.

The Pixel seems to require a harder press, that feels nice with the haptic feedback acting as a "Score!" response when my print is read.

I've not even tried to set up the fingerprint unlock, so I have no idea if it works or not. I didn't get the 6Pro for that feature. But, at some point after Google offers a fix, I may give it a try.

No issues for me what's so ever other than it being a slow sensor. You have to hold down your thumb for a second or it will fail.

I've said it before, I'll say it again as more time has elapsed. This FPS is fine. There is an inconsistency in how long it takes to unlock. Sometimes, it's almost instant, sometimes there is a delay but, my accuracy is 98 to 99%. Last night I unlocked my phone 20 times in a row with each thumb, only had 1 failure.

All of you that are having issues, do you have a screen protector on? I do not and if you do that very well could be the difference.
