Installing Debian Squeeze on Android Optimus S - Walkthrough

I tried the steps and no go I have the cm7 u said to install but when I launch Linux installer. I get no exec Detected and I am doing this on a opt s

In the instructions it says to use the scott pilgrim rom... is there any way to use TheKraven's CM7.2 or install using scott pilgrim rom and then flash TheKraven's rom and run linux from there?

Im useing kravens cm7.2 with no errors running me linux so it should work fine far as i understand its all about what your kernel supports im useing the latest bobzhome@ubuntu (comes with rom)

I installed everything without any errors or issues, however "linuxboot" is not a command. I noticed a file called linuxchroot.sh but was unable to execute it. Looking at it in my file manager showed me only a blank script. Any ideas?

Actually useing the linux installer you can name it whatever you want.
Linuxchroot is the default command to enter your mounted loop "linuxboot" is the name given he just forgot to mention i belive

open your terminal and type "linuxchroot" thats it then follow instructions to install gui ect it all takes place in the terminal

When i try to install lxde, it wont let me install it, like when i hold the camera button and all that, it wont do anything no matter how many times I do it.

can someone help me understand it better?

Just Installed on TheKraven's CM7.2 with no problems and it is running fine, if anyone is having trouble getting it to work try Allow Write To /system and Allow Remount With dev/exec options under setup and If trouble booting make sure you know the name of the chroot launcher script (Changeable under setup)

Edit: If you still have problems get an app on the market called Debian Installer and download the files and it comes with lxde and vnc pre-installed to the image all you have to do is get it to boot just read the instructions on the app, there is also a Ubuntu Installer app but I couldn't get it to boot
