I tried to last night but it wouldn't let me make calls or data. So I took it out. BUT now it's showing up on as the device presently on L2. I am wondering if it is safer to wait for the pending upgrade to fall off or if you think VZW rep could make the phone work without questioning the pending upgrade?

You should be fine since the iPhone 7 was bought at full retail.just pop in the current 5s sim

It is always a risk to call. Regardless,they will know when you used the upgrade . but sure it would be easier to wait until the pending upgrade clears . did you try to activate it online?

YUP. But it wont let me because of the pending upgrade. I think I'll just wait it out to be on the safe side.

I have been doing this simple upgrade transfer in the past, but this time when I tried the website says something like if you transfer, the line access will increase to $40, then as I proceed, it would force me to choose a new plan.

Transfer the upgrade from line two to line three. Then you should be ok

OK - Been a long time since I've been on AC - nice to see dPham and crew still spreading knowledge.
I've read through quite a few pages to try and catch up but want to clarify a few things - apologies for all the questions in advance:

1. Using BB method, it is now recommended you sell phone rather than just swap existing sim in - as this will remove UDP?
a. Or you can swap sims with a different UDP line and it will be OK as long as you never use the new phone with the line that used the upgrade?

2. I have not seen the UDP bumped up to $49 on any of my lines yet - likely because they are all still under contract?
a. I am on Nationwide Share plan - Looks like you are bumped up when your contract expires and billing cycle resets after that?
b. So I should renew before the end of the billing cycle that comes after my contract expires to avoid the bumped $49 priced?

3. I received threatening letter from VZ saying they discovered my 3rd UDP line is being used in a router (which it is) and to call them (I will never call evil VZ) or they will shut it down on 10/31/16.
Please let me know if I should take this question to the other forum
a. Will this affect my other 2 UDP lines in the plan or just the one used in the router?
b. Is there a way I can move the sim into a phone before then and avoid it getting shut down?
c. Also - thought I read somewhere we can legally use our UDP sims in a router - has this changed?

You can never activate the phone on the line in with the UDP originated from or you will lose UDP. You can get a different number and then activate it on that line,but that's it


The $20 increase happens when you go off contract, so you need to go on contract before the end of the billing cycle in which your contract ends.


I am assuming that you have the t1114. Fact of the matter is,we have no idea how it would be implemented.I would guess that so long as a smartphone is placed on the line,that you would be ok.but who knows what Verizon will do.

But the safest thing to do is to transfer the line to another account with unlimited data and change the number after the AOL.

I have tried twice now to do the BBM and sell method with my wife's $29.99 UDP account. Contract end date is 9/26 and the billing cycle ended on the 9/18 (bill has been paid in full). On both occasions, I am able to successfully place the order; however, within a minute of receiving the order email, we receive another email from BB stating that the order has been cancelled. Any ideas as to what the problem is? Should I call BB and inquire?

L2 UDP Iphone 6 No

Verizon bill is due 9/24/16

I want to purchase a subsidized iphone7 for L1 from BB,Verizon or Apple get shipped home, remove and destroy SIM, then sell on ebay. I then should be able to extend unlimited data on L1 for another two years with no problems correct?

Do I need to wait to do it on verizon until after the 26th when the contract ends?

I was under the impression that we could only do the upgrade through vzw once you were month-to-month and were being charged the additional $20 for udp.

Btw, after the 2nd BB cancellation, we received the following text message from vzw:
"VZW FREE MSG: Confirmation 1*******6 Location W*****1 and any related Plan or Feature changes placed on 09222016 has been canceled.To re-order, please visit https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...zonglobalhome/ghp_landing.aspx&token=cD-7b8Y4, a Verizon Wireless retail location, or by calling 800-922-0204 to speak to a representative."

Anybody else use the Verizon loophole to buy the note 7 on the subsidized deal. Now I have to return the note 7. Just wondering if they will see that It should've changed to the 2 GB plan on one of my lines. I will probably lose my unlimited data upon returning the Note 7. I purchased it on pre-order through Verizon online. Threw The Sim card away and used it on the other unlimited line. The pending activation already fell off the line. Samsung won't take it back directly. Verizon is like my only option in store.

There is no tdp line on the account, only the one udp line which comes out of contract tomorrow. Since we couldn't do bbm and sell, and don't want an apple, is our only option to come out of udp contract to upgrade?
