Ya I don't see how ppl complain about apples minimal upgrades but yet when a new android phone comes out with minimal upgrades everybody jumps on it like its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I'm a long time iPhone owner since the 3G came out. I got to play with as friends N7 with Jelly Bean and decided the Android OS was finally at a place where I liked it, so I bought myself an N7 and am completely loving it. At any rate, I too was very disappointed in Apple's latest iPhone and I'm giving up on waiting year after year for Apple to pull their head out and let me use my devices the way I want to.
So.... I've decided to jump to an Android based phone end of October. I've been watching and trying to decide what to get, but thought I'd ask for some opinions. I like the N7 because it's Android without all the molestations of the carrier and device manufacturer, and I feel fairly confident that when Google releases the next OS upgrade, I won't have to wait forever to get it like other devices that needs the OS tweaked and molested. I'd like to get a phone that's similar in that regard. I understand that short of Google releasing a new phone, my next best bet is the Galaxy series. Is that an accurate assumption? Additionally, as I'm getting the new phone end of Oct, do any of you have suggestions on rumored new phones that I should look into. I understand nobody here has a crystal ball and can't tell me to wait for product X that might be coming out, but I'm OK with the rumor mill and being patient.
Thanks.

IPhone 5 sales will easily surpase that of the s3. Plus its already number three phone on CNET and it hasn't even come out. The hardware specs of the iPhone tho are outdated to those of the s3

If you're going to base your buying habits on what sells millions and what doesn't then I don't know what to tell you. Who cares how many units have been sold?! I didn't chose the SIII because it sold a ton, I bought because it's a great phone. Both phones will sell and have sold very well.
yeah i dont think you read any of the other stuff i posted. i dont base what i buy off what sells, i simply was giving a fact about what will happen with sales. who cares? i care, this economy has gone to sh** because lazy ppl decide they dont wanna go out and look for jobs and go on welfare and foodstamps wasting tax payers money in the process and in return theyre not putting in money to products or companies to stimulate the economy. ive never even bought an iPhone nor do i plan to, im simply getting the iphone 5 for free for my work. like someone else said if any phone has the power to boost the economy it will be the iPhone and im always for that. the fact will remain the iphone 5 will sell more than the s3, regardless of which one is better. like i said in my prior posts theres a reason i stuck with my evo lte for personal use. cause i do like android more and its more versatile where as the iphone is limited. the iphones app market does beat the androids market by a long shot however. ive come from the palm 650 700 treo series to palm pre, htc evo go all galaxy s series and eventually the htc evo lte. never once owned an iphone for someones clarification. so what am i basing my buying habits off of
And yes the I5 will sell millions of phones, probably more than the SIII. Nobody is debating that. I'm not, I'm sure it will break all sorts of records.
Look this isn't political debate. If you're looking for that kind of topic then you need to go elsewhere. Very few of us will see any real benefit from Iphone sales, considering Apple outsources it parts and labor oversees, just like every other company, domestic or foreign.
If they were manufacturing the phones here then yes I would agree, we should factor that into our buying decision. But they're making it in China with foreign parts so how is that really benefitting us? I don't see any real benefit unless you own Apple stock. It's a great story and great PR for Apple but I think your reading too much into that.
Microsoft, Google, Motorola, Samsung, Sony, Sharp and LG employ people here in the U.S. as well as around the world. These are all large global companies as well, not just Apple.

i currently have the iphone 4s along with my galaxy S3,i will be upgrading to the iPhone 5,gotta have the best of both worlds! Don't knock it until you try it cause i love them both!
One other thing. The fact that u state the if u don't own stocks in apple its not helping? You obviously are ilinformed. So if apple's not helping let's just take them out of the equation. Let's take there stock out of the markets. What would that do to the Dow Jones industrial. It lower the sh** out its overall points, what does that mean. Everyone 401s IRA would see a sibstanitail decrease. Please don't make comments in u obviously don't know anything about

Actually 10 million will be nothing considering they're saying the iPhone just in September which is half a month will sell up to 10 million alone. Not mention if 10 million is all the s3 has sold which I can't confirm with all this time that its been out for, it will be embarrising if the iPhone 5 beats it just in half a months time. Not to mention the iPhone can run up to 850 which means theure def making more money off fanboys then any other Samsung phone. And that's just us sales. In UK or European countimries they go for over 1000 euros which is about 1300 dollars
IPhone sales will triumph that of the s3 by a lot
