It will be a few weeks to a month+ before we see it is my guess.

I plan on getting an international GS3 today and rooting it. What options does this leave me with? I don't plan on waiting for any carrier to release an update.

PS I've already downloaded Omega AOKP and plan on flashing that for the time being (anyone tried it out?)

does the international s3 in the US have carrier modified firmware mate? id have thought the update would come from samsung like here in UK

I'm actually not in the US sorry. If it does come from Samsung how do I get it? I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to Android

where do u live? im assuming it will be an over the air update or downloadable from Kies. you shouldnt have to root or flash anything

...Kies is the software suite for ur computer btw. it can do backups + stuff and put updates on the phone. when u get the phone, itl probly need updated so go to About Device, check for updates and u should get them over the air

Did anyone try the leaked version yet? Is it really smoother than ics or because hardware is so good already we do not notice it?

I updated to the newest leak tonight while writing my Odin guide and I have to say it is AWSOME all of the bugs seem to be gone, it seems to be faster aswell somehow. I'm going to update this thread http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...4342-big-jellybean-ota-discussion-thread.html with a video of it tomorrow. If I can find my camera ........
