Also got the shipping notification from FedEx today from Carol Stream, Illinois... supposed to have shipped earlier today and be here by Friday. I ordered the 32 GB 5x Carbon on Friday, October 9.

For anyone that is wondering, when Google charged my card for real, Nexus Protect was not on there. My card was charged for the phone and a case on Monday morning, the 19th. But, just today when it shipped out, Google charged my card for the Nexus Protect so if anyone is wondering, they charge them separately, at least for me!

I hope everyone's wait is short and goes smoothly!

I just placed my order for the 5X.
This will be my second phone, crazy as that sounds. My everyday phone is an iPhone 6s+, running on Verizon, so I knew that I wanted the Nexus phone to be as small and light as possible, even at the expense of a faster processor or better screen.

It's a little bit of a absurd idea to have two phones, but I have been following Project Fi for a loooong time, and with the release of the new phones and the financing plans, I feel like it's worth giving it a try. I'll use the Verizon iPhone most of the time, and the Nexus for traveling internationally. Fortunately my Verizon plan is a fairly cheap single-line plan.

Now I just need to figure out how to keep the two phones more or less synced. For a lot of apps (Dropbox, Evernote, GMail) it obviously shouldn't be too hard. And find an "Android for dummies" book.

Well my credit card just got charged, so that's a good sign I hope!

So after still no movement it took me another web chat session and over 30 mins for the representatives to finally get the google wallet team involved that my payment information was causing a problem. I find it hilarious that we all have to call, or chat in to get any action on anything if it didn't go through smoothly. I now have my phone processing, and should be shipping soon. I guess I will call that a win. However, will have to go through this with the 6P all over again. Yay

Well, got it updated with google at 10am, its now 9pm, no change, no shipping. I worked at a small online retailer who if the cc charged, it shipped same day.. Yet alone, other retailers ship same day before 1pm too.. Google, keep on with the awesome service. It is certainly award winning.

So you had a two day gap between when you got charged and when the phone shipped?

Just got done chatting with Google.They said their shipping confirmation email system is experiencing delays.We may still get shipping notices later tonight.

Ha. Glad I spent the overnight shipping. I ordered same day as you. There seems to be so little rhyme to reason with how this is working on the surface.

I was thinking about overnight shipping too, but I remembered the same thing happened with the Nexus 6 preorders, so I went with the standard shipping option.

After I clear things up with Google about my account I got the e-mail. Shipped and a Fedex tracking number. I have to wait till Monday, thats the delivery date.

In an effort of maintianing the massive anal retentiveness and impatience of this joyous and enthusiastic thead, I'm in similar boat...32GB Ice went to processing in last hour or two. However, no charge on card yet, and no FedEx tracking (at least not by reference number method), and dates still showing 10/30 - 11/3 for shipping/processing/delivery/whatever it is they're using that date to mean. Also, my order number did go from green to grey.

Can't wait!

UPDATE: Just got my tracking number and shipping notification email from Google about 5 minutes ago. No info or target delivery date showing yet in FedEx, but my google order page has now changed from "processing" to "shipped". The date of 10/30-11/3 on google's end has not changed, though.

EDIT: No CC charge showing yet.

EDIT 2: shipping label created, target delivery of tomorrow. Note the quick delivery is because I live 20 minutes from the shipped-from location

I think the majority of you who saw your card charged yesterday are going to get your shipping notices today. During my conversation with Store Support on Monday, they mentioned they're trying to get their orders out by the 22nd (today). Good luck to everyone who hasn't gotten their shipping notices yet.

I got my tracking email from Google about an hour ago. I've got the same ordering date/shipping range as you Adam (and the Ice).

When did you order and where do you live? I ordered my 32gb Ice (Ice Baby) on the 17th and it changed to processing on Tuesday and shipped yesterday and I'll receive it today. I'm in Southern California and it's coming from Mira Loma, CA.
