This month-long ordeal is finally over!

Launch day pre-order (64 Al) was horribly delayed, ordered a 2nd 64 Al on Monday out of frustration which shipped before my pre-order. Pre-order actually shipped later that day so I got stuck with both. Picked up one phone yesterday and the 2nd to be delivered later today. Besides having an unwanted 2nd phone, I'm happy with this phone after waiting so long!

I'm still debating whether to refuse delivery of the 2nd phone, send it back with a return shipping label, or just sell it. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting. And for those of us on the yearly upgrade schedule, let's hope next years launch goes smoother.

32GB Aluminum
Google FI
Ordered OCT 15th
Estimated ship date 9th
Estimated delivery 12-16
Received Shipping notification today. No tracking as of yet.
Left pending on October 26 to processing.

64GB Graphite ordered 10/04 through Project Fi. Pending for about two weeks.
I have called and chatted with both Google Store and Fi support, not much help. Yesterday called and chatted with Project Fi. Usual boilerplate: "we are showing your order will be on time."

When I pressed further on the phone, agent said "oh, we're showing your order is held due to lack of stock. We don't have any information regarding when stock will be available, but we do still show your order will be on time." They also said that if I order a new one from Fi, if it's available to order then they have a device in stock already, and a specific unit is attached to my order. In other words - I'm basically "buying one off the shelf."

REALLY? Then how are ANY showing available to order, when they've barely started filling pre-orders? By definition, if they don't have enough inventory to compete pre-orders, that means every unit built so far is already sold! And before the trolls start in - no I haven't missed my delivery date, but I'm about to. If they get it to me in time great - but if they sell available stock before filling pre-orders, without knowing when new inventory is coming, then filling a new order WILL delay pre-orders. That is what's happening. And what's worse - this isn't just different groups not communicating and coordinating - this seems to be happening within project Fi itself! I'm really disappointed. I hope that (eventually) starting my Fi service goes more smoothly than this launch has.

Anyway, they told me that I can cancel and re-order. Because I financed it through Fi, I would need to cancel my existing order first or just pay outright for new order. Oh, and it takes up to 24 hours for cancellation to process before I can finance a new one. That seems risky to me.

Unbelievable they can't do even a basic change to a pre-order. Why bother with CS reps if they can't do anything?

I'm just as frustrated as you (my 64 GB graphite pending forever) so don't shoot the messenger. I read further back that one CSR admitted that all pre-orders are tied to specific IEMI so until that specific IEMI comes in it doesn't matter if they have 10,000 on the shelf they won't send you one. Stupidest order fulfillment plan ever! Hopefully yours (and mine) isn't lost or stolen in the shipment from China to here or we could wait a year while getting the standard CSR BS.

Supposed to be delivered today, but leaving town for my birthday. Called fedex last night and said they'd hold it at the facility this morning for me to pick up at 9am sharp. Get there at 9, "whoops...sorry we put it on the truck by mistake. No way to get it back."

Byyeee Nexus, guess I'll see you 5 days from now. Thanks for a great start to my birthday Fedex.

Ok - my 64GB Graphite, ordered through Project Fi on 10/04, finally moved to processing after about two weeks in Pending. Any others seeing movement of this color/size from Project Fi? If it processed quickly may be on time, even a day or two early.

If Google really is working hard to clean this up (and I believe they are), that will help. The shame here is that lack of communication, or inconsistent information, makes it look like they're sweeping it under the rug or ignoring it. Come on Google - your credo of "Do No Evil" applies I'm all situations, and passively ignoring your own errors doesn't fit this.

Earn our trust:
1) Stop the bleeding (stop new orders until pre orders are shipping)
2) Figure out what happened
3) Tell everyone what really happened and say sorry by owning up to it
4) Learn from it, and tell everyone how you plan to improve it next time.

This isn't just about geeks whining over late phones. We trust Google with incredibly sensitive information every day, and everything Google does is a chance to either earn or undermine that trust. You don't need to be perfect - but you need to make good when things go wrong and above all be honest.

Ordered a 32g graphite through Fi (with financing) on Oct. 16 (about midday).
Went to pending on the morning of Oct. 25.
About 20 minutes ago (Nov.5) got a pending charge on card and order went to processing.

So now I can obsess about getting the shipping email!

My 64GB Frost finally went into Processing this morning, and they have also finally charged my card in parallel.

Ordered 10/1
Leaves Warehouse by 11/2
ETA: November 5 – 9, 2015

I'm happy that it looks like I'll receive my device within the original delivery time frame. Although with everyone elses experience, I was kind of looking forward to the $25 credit at this point too, lol.

Jesus, I posted this yesterday morning and it's already 14 pages back.

Anyway, on FedEx vehicle for delivery. At the end of it all, it's arriving on the very first day of the original ETA window.

Update: Received shipping email for 32 GB Aluminum through Project Fi. (Label created, scheduled delivery for tomorrow as I live about an hour from Carol Stream)
Ordered 10/19 at 9:47am with original estimated ship date of 11/9.
I'm happy it's on it's way. Still not happy with Google over this whole shipping mess.
Hope everyone gets their phones soon!

I'm just super frustrated. Even logging on in here and seeing people who orderd a few days ago and have their devices already is just like a real kick in the you know what.

Worst part is Google is still on a tear, how can nobody within that company know what's going on. This is like your faithful following? I'm already an Apple user, my other phone is an iPhone 6s Plus and I have to say...Apple, A company that handles God knows how many orders will always be my first choice in choosing which company takes care of their customers better. I love android, and love the whole nexus program. But honestly if this was my primary phone and I didn't have another line and was waiting on this because I sold my phone or my daily driver was on its last leg, this experience would make me jump ship because Google still hasn't gotten it's crap together since the nexus one launched years ago. For those around back than, they will remember Google blaming HTC for that fiasco and didn't want anything to do with handling things. Still doing the same crap years and years later.
